I'm shocked.
Here, by the way, is the neighborhood where the Breck Girl evidently put her and the love child up before they moved to Santa Barbarbar: http://www.governorsclub.com/

Ease pressure how? At this point any sane person will believe that she is covering for him. Oh... right. We’re talking about Democratic voters.

she did ok for herself.
$15,000 per month is more than she would ever earn,

Seems to me Edwards needs to face up to issues at hand. There no political career after this. The best he will able to is to have is a small voice First he should attempt to make it right with wife and family.

If Hunter sticks to that position, it will ease the pressure on Edwards...Only if he never re-enters politics. As it stands now, the default position is that he's lying and he would have to get the test to clear his "good name."
From her point of view, she's getting all the money she can get and might even lose some if she pushes for the test.
I suspect her current pay-off arrangement is contingent upon not attempting to push the issue.

“she will not pursue DNA testing”
It would be interesting if the National Enquirer might get on this and find out how much hush money or other inducements like jobs she has been promised.

“There no political career after this.”
Why do you say that? He is a Democrat, remember. Isn't unfaithfulness to your wife a resume enhancer for Democrats? Bill Clinton proved that even an elected official can do far worse and be hailed as a great man and leader.

Edwards has pulled another Jesse Jackson stunt - namely to use someone elses money to support his elicit lover. That governor of New York could learn something from those two when it comes to paying off his girl friends.

And Obama won’t let anyone see his birth certificate. The real one, that is.

Exactly. His political life has ended. Her saying that she will not allow the DNA test on her child was decided between the two of them so Edwards could come out and say he was willing to have the DNA test. She will continue to cover for him and most likely he told her he will “be with her” after Elizabeth dies.
I hope Elizabeth gets a good attorney and cleans his clock!

"I suspect her current pay-off arrangement is contingent upon not attempting to push the issue."That is what I suspect also.

$10 says the National Enquirer or a hotel housekeeper already has a wipe rag or a dirty diaper?

When this whole thing blew up someone from Freeper said this would happen. They said that Edwards would says yes to a DNA test but that the former mistress would say no. That way he can say, "see I want to do it but". . .
I wonder how much $$ it would take to persuade her to allow the test to be taken? Maybe the National Enquirerer could pay off the alleged father?

Good Point! I wonder if she was stupid enough to leave anything behind.
