Old King James’ proof readers kinda slipped up on that one didn’t they.
And PBS got to say it on our dime. Think how liberals would “feel” if they had to pay for Rush’s radio show...
Ezekiel 38 mentions that Gog and Persia (Russia and Iran) will team up to try to destroy Israel in the latter days (now). Sounds like current news in todays world. Ezekiel written in 593 B.C. as an exile in Babylon.
I’ve got the original Hebrew translation. It’s a bit hard to read, but I’d be happy to have some guidance on where the passages are you speak of...
I’ll be glad to post it up for everyone by tomorrow night if you let me in on the little secret.
Why, oh why, oh why do we as taxpayers have to fund one penny of this kind of filth?
Cannot someone with a strong heart and a fair mind bring up legislation that only allows PBS (Public Bull Sh##) to be funded only by donations from those who think it is worth paying for?
I’ll bet that not one in 25 taxpaying Americans like most of the crap on PBS.
Antiques Roadshow could be picked up by Fox instead of the Ron Popiel cooking appliances.....
That is the only show on PBS I can stand, and I’ll bet that I am not alone.
Cheers!
Guess what? Mary wasn’t a virgin either. Yeshua was the bastard son of a Roman soldier. Nice of Joseph the cuckold to take him in.
Nope, I don’t do that anymore, chase scriptures that is. I found it to be a waste of time, too many contradictions and it’s evident chapters have been left out.
It is your interpretation that Gog is Russia, and Magog is Persia.
So when you are wrong, don’t blame the Bible.
And if that’s what eastforker meant, I sincerely apologize.
Either way, you have answered wisely.
There are lots of counterparts... many produced by Christian believers.
Now if it was me, I would strip PBS of government funding, and strip Churches (businesses, both of them) of tax exemptions. I find both offensive.
That part made me literally laugh aloud. The Bible will be around long after the lot of us have died and been forgotten.
Yeah, Voltaire thought much the same thing about the Christianity going down the tubes...
Didn't the Geneva Bible Society use his house to print Bibles from after his death?
Cheers!
At the time of our nation’s independence in the late 1770s, the number 1 Book read in America was: THE HOLY BIBLE. America was BLESSED by GOD because we as a people regarded HIS WORDS AS TRUTH. Now, we make fun of it, try to discount it, pervert it and where are we as a nation? IMMORAL, BANKRUPT (Spiritually), and a nation that DESPERATELY NEEDS GOD and HIS LAWS. One of the founding fathers stated that our constitution cannot stand if we fall away from religion and morality as a part of our foundational truth! Teach our next generation THE WORD OF GOD!
Don’t get in the game if you ain’t willin’ to play it out.
When you present a challenge you should have more to back it up.
I’ll take the time for my own sake and thank you for challenge just the same.
-—”Many of the old testament stories are Babylonian stories that the Jews brought back from their captivity there. See: Noah/Gilgamesh.”-—
Errrrr.....only similarity in the stories is flooding. Not exactly a corollary.
Creationists have a story about the early days of man - doesn’t mean that Evolution copied from it just because they both have tales to tell about early man. Just means there is more than one story out there on the topic.
Most people who see Noah as another Gilgamesh tale haven’t read both stories. Not very alike are they at all.
Ezekiel 38 mentions that Gog and Persia (Russia and Iran)
Bible says New PBS program isn't true, stories made up
Then Leviticus 11:19 uses the Hebrew word "tuf nun shin mem tuf" - "Tinshemet" - to refer to a "bird", then uses the same word in 11:30 to refer to a "reptile".
This seems particularly interesting given an evolutionary (sshh!) pathway for certain Ornisthician dinosaurs to have become modern birds.
Tying relativity to the evolution of the universe was inspired in me by Gerald Schroeder in his The Science Of God: The Convergence of Scientific and Biblical Wisdom
