New PBS program says Bible isn't true, stories made up

Your tax dollars helped fund "The Bible's Buried Secrets"

The Public Broadcasting System (PBS), probably the most liberal network in America, will present a program this fall that says the Old Testament is a bunch of made-up stories that never happened. "The Bible's Buried Secrets" says the Bible is not true. It is scheduled to air on November 18.

Archaeologist William Dever said: "...It's (The Bible's Buried Secrets) designed for intelligent people who are willing to change their mind. …it will give intelligent people who want to read the Bible in a modern way a chance. If we insist on reading the Bible literally, in 25 years, nobody will read it any longer."

Among highlights of "The Bible's Buried Secrets":

The Old Testament was written in the sixth century BC and hundreds of authors contributed.

Abraham, Sarah and their offspring didn't exist.

There is no archaeological evidence of the Exodus.

Monotheism was a process that took hundreds of years.

The Israelites were actually Canaanites.

The Israelites believed that God had a wife.

I have often said that PBS should not receive tax dollars. "The Bible's Buried Secrets" is simply one more reason Congress should stop supporting PBS with our tax dollars. Congress gives PBS hundreds of millions of tax dollars to help support the network.

For evidence that the Bible says what happens thousands of years before it happens (which men making up stories cannot do), please visit the following link:

Indeed, what bothers me is there are no counterpoints to this sort of film, if the person wishes to claim that Christ was actually a Trout, if PBS gave him the greenlight to produce the film, that would be the end of the discussion.

As for the man’s statement that the show is for “fair minded intelligent people willing to change their minds..” I disagree, the show is merely one archealogists views, views that he hopes will dissuade people from the factual accounts, and join him in disregarding the Scriptures.

Oh how brave.  Let's go after the bible.  Why not an expose on the Koran?  Oh wait ... they'll take their life in their hands doing that.  Whimpy Liberals!

Tax dollars for cow pies! Get’cha cow pies right here!

PBS is the biggest piece of garbage ever funded by the government and it’s such a big monster, like the government, nobody can figure out how to take it down!!!

I’d love to wax eloquent on the subject, but my gosh... how can this disgrace be allowed.

I’ve got three words for it... Barney must die!!!

Who’s with me?

The Old Testament was written in the sixth century BC and hundreds of authors contributed.

Quite a project - even for today - to have "hundreds of authors contributed". Who organized all this conspiracy? The, I suppose, "hundreds of authors contributed" moved on to the New Testament a few centuries later.

Then it all stopped waiting for Mr. Archeologist's expose...

I reckon it ain’t because you say it ain’t, man.

If you don’t want to believe it, it’s a free country. But it is a country founded on the belief in God.

There’s just a bunch of cheeseheads poppin’ up all over the place telling us what we as christians should and shouldn’t believe.

What kills me are the “patriots” and “conservatives” screaming we need our constitution preserved yet denying the God of the Bible.

It’s like gay church: To embrace one is to deny the other.

Everyone’s welcome to their opinion. So, there you go.

So the Bible of the ancients that has withstood the test of time down through the centuries and is still the most widely read book worldwide is nothing more than fables ay? Dead sea scrolls, historic Jerusalem and other archeologic findings don’t matter to PBS one iota? Those who deny the faith cannot produce evidence to support their claims....just like evolution they cherish and believe the lies of the liars. Have at it....the rest of us will trust in the Wisdom of the Almighty and His Historic Word!

What these peons fail to grasp was the wisdom of Red Cloud. After he was read the Bible he said “I don’t know if these storeies happened but I know that they are TRUE”. An illiterate aboriginie got the message that people who have spent their whole lifes in school completely miss.

Brainless, Conformist, Ignorant TWITS!
