Roger Friedman says Hayes did not want to leave South Park over the "Trapped in the Closet" episode. His Scientololords forced him to quit. Instead, he had a stroke and was unable to continue -- which Scientology repressed from the media. Dogfight over his estate to ensue.

RIP Mr. Hayes

South Park is much more relevant than Scientology.

This explains the last episode that Chef appears in, where he is turned into a Vader-like Chef.

Living in Hollywood, the biggest landmarks in this city are the Scientology buildings. Not to stereotype, but everytime someone passes by one of their bldgs close to the Kodak Theater (the Oscar’s), they actually invite anyone to try if they are “stressed out”. No joke, just like the South Park episode.

Scientology is a cultist scam.

Needs to be broken up like the polygamists.

“He said he was under great pressure from Scientology, and if we didn’t stop poking at them, he’d have to leave," Stone said.

Another sick POS - Scientology.

Atlanta airport, last year.....walking down the concourse to the gate.....spotted.....3 a$$holes interfering with travelers.....RED ALERT

I veered left and the A$$HOLE intercepted me.....

"Hi there, I'm with the Church of Scientology...."

"hey Dick head, you are within striking distance of my right hand....you understand that?"

OMG With the man of the house watching Olympics and me not tuning into FR for headline news I did not know.

Uh Isaac was suppose to be performing up here on the Oregon Coast Chinook Winds Casino.

RIP Bro loved your tunes in my youth.

Hayes had to be in his late 60s as he was older when I was a kid listening to him.

So they think he was killed by a cult.

I dont know found dead by his treadmill I would have to say fatal heart muscle spasm.JMO

That is horrible - I didn’t know Mr. Hayes was deceived and controlled by a cult. Scientology is evil, it exploits and finally destroys people.

Up next, a soon to be drooling Tom and his wife, ‘Surge’ Cruise.

I find it quite ironic that Hay’s memorial service will be held in a fairly conservative (all white) Presbyterian church.

That is a tragic story. Hayes gave us so much, to see his life crumble like that and fall victim first to those who gave him such a bad deal on his music to the false hope of the Scientologists makes me very sad. I hope he is at peace now. Thank you Isaac.

As a young kid, Isaac Hayes' music made me sit up and listen more closely. He had a gift that connected with millions. Seems as though he may have been too trusting a soul at many times in his life.

RIP.

What a loss. Isaac Hayes was one of a kind. Most of you have probably never heard him sing "I Stand Accused" but it is great. I recently found it on you tube. It's not played on the radio because it's too long - about 11 minutes. Starts out slow but it's worth listening though. My favorite part about love "it's almost like being in quicksand. The more you struggle...mmmm...the deeper you sink.
