FORT HAYS, Kan. -- A professor at a Kansas university who dropped his pants and mooned a room full of students and teachers is under investigation after video of the incident was posted on YouTube, school officials said.
Bill Shanahan, a professor at Fort Hays State University, was at a debate with the Fort Hays State debate team last March when the incident occurred.
School officials said they believe things got out of control when the team got low scores from two of the judges.
Shanahan is seen on the video jumping up and down, ranting and then mooning the crowd in the room.

Poor choice of words. And if this is how the debate professor makes a point in a dispute, I can understand if his team wasn't doing too well....
Gonna lose some debate points on that action............

I watched the tape. Both coaches should be fired. They’re both disgraces to their respective colleges.
He’s a “non-conformist, maverick, very provocative teacher,” per the report in post #5.

This “professor” obviously is too out of control of his personal hygiene and self discipline to be in any position instructing others..

I hate to stereotype folks based on looks and their words in emotional situations, but these people look to me like the MIGHT be some of those multidiverse, multicultural, elite ‘progressives’ that look down their noses at middle-class Americans and especially conservatives.

I get the impression (after just a quick scan) that he’s a Nader supporter that’s settling for Obama.
This Shanahan guy is a far-left loon who does an occasional guest column in the paper I read, the Hays Daily News. He’s just as crazy as he looks, and his columns are chock full of far-left, down-with-AmeriKKKa garbage. He’s also apparently violently unstable, as he was previously handcuffed and arrested for throwing a tantrum at a child’s T-ball game. Naturally, he wasn’t fired then, and he probably won’t be fired now, since he’s a leftist.
I can’t help but to wonder (not much wonder) as to the nature of his mental illness. Apparently, I mental illness is more acceptable in the liberal college world.
He’s an extreme example of an otherwise typical loud-mouthed leftist “activist”. He looks like a homeless bum, loudly hates America, and lives off the taxpayers as a “professor”. The really infuriating part is that the Hays Daily News and Fort Hays University (my alma mater) enable this behavior, when he really needs to be kicked (literally) to the curb. The next fund-raising letter I get from FHSU is going to be returned with no check and a note to the President concerning this a-hole.
