The SS-21 is a road mobile, solid fuel, single stage ballistic missile, which is maneuverable in flight and carries a high-explosive or nuclear warhead weighing up to 1060lbs.

There, fixed it.

Good, the Poles deserve better than they’ve gotten from Russia.

How ironic: the original Russian motive for invading Georgia is to thwart SDI emplacements near Russia. But missile use of this variety will do more to ENCOURAGE those emplacements more than any other thing I can imagine.

This would never have happened (and neither would the Korean War and the Vietnam War) if only someone had listened to Georgie Patton.

But what can one do when our government was (and is to a large extent) controlled by leftists and plain old garden variety communists?

Watching Russians in action helps one figure out ways to kill Russians.

It is not as though they could launched one and not have it detected. I wonder how strong a message we gave the Russkies.

WOW! Russian missiles... and they've actually managed to hit the ground with them. 150-meter accuracy, my ass! They're lucky their drunken troops can even get 'em in the air.

Not to minimize the threat to the Georgian people, but Russia launching SS-21’s is for the benefit of the Russian press.

This is a country that can't even build a washing machine that lasts longer than a month. Their “car” is a Fiat clone.

They are a dying culture, and Putin needs his own little war to distract the folks at home from their own staggering unemployment, criminalized economy, ever-decreasing life expectancy, rampant alcohol/drug abuse, declining Russian population, and a host of other problems at home that he hasn't even made a dent in (in almost a decade).

But that's OK, keep sending SS-21’s and whatever else you got, Vlad. We love the opportunity to ECM ‘em so we can knock ‘em out of the sky when we need to. Can you say "Pull!"?

Aren’t “ballistic missile” and “maneuverable in flight” generally mutually exclusive by definition?

Firing SS-21’s (even conventional)?! No wonder Bush is pissed at Putin!

This is going to make deploying our missile defenses to Czech and Poland easy peasy, too.

This is a game-changer.

as the Georgians do not have the capability to defend against or defeat ballistic missiles.

Well, I suppose the US is going to do something about that now.
