RUSSIAN soldiers have been caught on camera ROBBING a bank in war-torn Georgia. The band of gun-toting men were caught on CCTV forcing their way into the bank in Gori.
Once inside, the men are seen breaking into the teller offices and rifling through the desks.

No. Kellov's comrades. Don't bring the Poles into this mess.
This is the type of heroic act that gets you the highly coveted Heroes of the Russian Federation medal.
I recall a book written by a former member of the Viet Cong who described a similar scenario. When NVA forces entered Sai Gon in 1975, they looted stores and were amazed and shocked to find that the South was not the poor, destitute land they were told it was. He wrote of men filling ammo pouches with transistor radios and watches by the handful.

Beat me to it!
I love that movie.
In one shot, they offer the German officer the deal.
Two seconds later, a shot of the bank door exploding.
Absolutely no deliberation, whatsoever.
I have been struck by the disorderliness of the Russian Army, from the bizarre formation of what looked like poorly dressed poorly trained and barely able to keep in a column troops to the actions of them on the ground where they are unprofessional and totally oblivious to their surroundings. Compare this with US Troops as they entered Iraq in formation, professional, and with a purpose. The only thing Russia has got going for it is they have a whole lot of these thugs in their so called army.
ROFL!!!
Do you call it “deserted” when everyone was killed by them?
Who says Hollywood wasn’t out to make American soldiers the bad guys even before Vietnam....
These soldiers were acting-out a movie? Is that what you are suggesting?
No. I was simply pointing out that -ski/-sky is Polish, whereas -ov/-ich are Russian.
Just like here: illegal immigrants doing jobs the locals don’t want to.
No! I think they wanted that computer so they could keep up with what's happening on FreeRepublic.
p.s. How do we know if they really are "Russian soldiers"? They could well be militia.
The media generally doesn't know it's ass from it's elbow when it comes to the military. Any armor is a "tank" to them.
Earlier I saw a photo captioned something like, "Russian SU-25 (frogfoot) bombs Georgia".
The people at a military photo blew that out of the water (guess I should say air) by identifying it as a Georgian SU-25KM "Scorpion"!
I would say the only thing they got going for them is a lot of nukes. Other wise they would of been history under Truman.
Typical Russian peacekeepers lol.
What an absolute bunch of drunkards....
rape, kill, pillage and burn ....we’re gonna
rape, kill, pillage and burn.
Speaking of which, how did they get nukes - I can't believe their drunken scientists were able to do what our Manhattan Project folks were able to do.
A US Communist sympathizer in the military sell something to the Russians to help them along, perhaps?
