Strickland Says Obama Lacks Substance on Economy Sunday, August 17, 2008 COLUMBUS - Just days after lowering expectations on his ability to deliver Ohio for Barack Obama, Gov. Ted Strickland renewed criticism today over the lack of substance coming from his party's presumptive nominee.

"I particularly hope he strengthens his economic message - even Senator Obama can speak more clearly and specifically about the kitchen-table, bread-and-butter issues like high energy costs," said Gov. Ted Strickland of Ohio. "It's fine to tell people about hope and change, but you have to have plenty of concrete, pragmatic ideas that bring hope and change to life."

This is a good hypothesis.

The one thing that makes me think it wont happen is the certainty of riots.

But you know what? I dont think the Dem leadership cares.

I think they do want to recreate 68 and they dont care if a bunch of people get killed so long as they can sell Peace

Make Believe! Not War!

Another one under the bus

Another one under the bus

Obama and Michelle are elitist. They don't cook, clean, pick the kids up after school, do laundry, etc. So don't expect them to know anything about normal people. I mean the woman made $300K a year ago, and complains about piano lessons.

I think the term everybody is looking for is GRAVATIS, you know, the stuff the lame stream media says Bush lacked! Why haven't we heard about it?

What’s the matter with Strickland? Doesn’t he know that shouting hope and change is a perfectly valid reason for electing someone prez? Seriously deep down many Dems know that Obama is for what they are for: taking money from people who produce wealth and keeping it for themselves. As another thieving, Dem Strickland should realize that.

Ted hasn’t been asked to speak at convention either. Dems like Ted who strongly supported Hillary are being dissed by Bambi’s posse, and Hillary knows it. She may pull it off in Denver.

Obambi will lose Ohio big.

And Michelle rushes to the podium and screeches into the microphone that it's just a symbolic vote of support. Then the expletives begin and fist fights break out on the convention floor.

Those boy scouts sure sell some good popcorn.

I believe Strickland is saving himself for Hillary.

Or he is going to run himself. Frankly, we could do worse. For a democrat, he's been a pretty good governor.

how does he stand on other issues? Is he more middle-of-the-road or is he another flaming liberal? I am a die hard conservative and I sure as hell didn't vote for Strickland this past election, but he may actually get my vote the next time. The reason? He does virtually nothing. He has put forth no BS laws and we never hear from him. That's the kind of governor I can appreciate.

Sure would be nice if he were to turn into a DINO.

He has publicly undermined Obambi twice now in recent weeks. Doesn't seem like he is going to pull out all the stops to help him in November.

That has to help McCain's prospects in Ohio.
