They probably think that Santa Clause "counts" as a Christian religious symbol. They do a special Santa can promotion every Christmas. They can think what they want, but trees are "secular" per the courts. Which is irrelevant, they're a private company, they can do what they want. Personally, religious symbols on pop cans doesn't excite me.

Every year Coke produces "Kosher for Passover" Coke using the old, sucrose formula. Now they'll have to put it in a blue can :>)

Can they drink Coke during Ramadan? Don't know, I'd assume it's OK after sundown.

Well, seeing islam getting any attention and respect from a major corporation offends and annoys me, given what that “religion” teaches re: women, slavery, etc, so I am relieved that I no longer drink coke : Saves me the trouble of having to cut it out of my life.

It would be more appropriate in terms of “truth in advertising”.

They've done stuff like this before at least for Judaism, I think. Like Hebrew writing for Passover, indicating that the product is kosher.
Don't know if they've ever done a can design featuring a religious symbol, though.
I'm not going to get upset about it, though.

Running a global consumer goods company these days is a b*tch. No good deed goes unpunished.
I am happy for them to stick with Santa & polar bears over here.
I doubt many freepers would snatch up a 6 pack if there were an illustration of an empty frosty bottle sitting inside a vacant tomb on the billboard over the interstate.
To: SJackson
Wonder if it will have cane sugar like Passover Coke?
