Third lawsuit filed against (FL Congressman) Buchanan
The Bradenton Herald ^ | Aug. 19, 2008 | Stacey Edison

A third complaint has been filed by a former employee of U.S. Rep. Vern Buchanan's car dealership, Sarasota Ford, claiming the company employed at least eight illegal immigrants.

Richard Thomas, a former director of fixed operations at Sarasota Ford, alleges in a lawsuit filed in Sarasota County Circuit Court that Buchanan had illegal immigrants working both at his dealership and at the congressman's home.

"Buchanan had imported them to do work on his house, specifically the rock work and the floors," the lawsuit states. "He provided them sleeping quarters in the office beside the store."

As we don’t have enough problems already. If the charges are true, than Buchanan should withdraw from the race.

If he was a Democrat, he would be praised for housing the poor and giving them a job.

I'm no big Buchanan fan, bu my take on this is that it is simply another attempted hatchet-job on the legally elected Republican. Christine Jennings, the Dem who lost, has done nothing since but call the entire voting process into question and use every half-arsed legal angle she and her cronies could come up with to unseat Buchanan.

Not to mention that the local NYT-owned media has been carrying her water at every opportunity. A bigger crowd of DNC-bootlickers would be hard to find.

If he was a Democrat, we never would have heard about it.

Oh, it would have been competitive regardless. Lots of northern-born libs moving into this neck of the woods, and again, the local media is thoroughly in the dem's back pocket.

KH was no guarantee for holding the seat. She won by underwhelming margins in a district that should’ve gone by a much higher %.

If the allegations are true, it's not a hatchet job and he needs to go now!

If it is true, he broke the law while a member of the Law and Order party, the GOP.

When it comes to our Southern border, the only law is the order from the Bush White House to keep it wide open. I am not the slightest bit impressed that he is now attempting to get some of the criminals out.

"If" being the operative term there.

That Jennings woman cost Floridians MILLIONS as we replaced our new touch screens to prove that she still lost. Crist should not have replaced the new touch screens for her. No wonder Florida's in the red and Charlie has dipped into the reserves.

Working with most democrats is folly, especially losers like Jennings.

The timing of all these suits is very suspicious. None of these allegations will addressed in a court until after the election. These are disgruntled former employees who are working in cahoots with the Dems...and trying to extort money from Buchanan.

Jennings has no record or issues to run on and has cost FL taxpayers millions...hence this attempt to smear & destroy Buchanan.

He will eventually be cleared and I hope the voters see through these tactics!

The DemonRATS have perfected this kind of attack.

“KH was no guarantee for holding the seat.”

True enough, but with time, she probably have become accepted by the district. That seems to be the case with Jean Schmidt in Cincinnati.

And while Katherine Harris made a mistake in running for the Senate, she would have never done anything like what Vern Buchanan is accused of doing.
