Well, honestly, if he chose either Fred Thompson, Duncan Hunter, or Tom Tancredo, I personally would be VERY happy.
Not gonna’ happen in a million years, but I would be very happy. Just sayin’.

Ditto that! Un-enthuastic as I am about McCain, one of those for VP would would win my vote and loosen my wallet.

Got to put Eric Cantor among the list....
If anything, this mutes the argument that the Dems would push, that " John picks a old white guy " ... this gives John McCain more breathing room of choices to chose from.

Duncan Hunter
Sarah Palin
Michael Steele
Dick Cheyney (hee hee)

Palin
Jindal
Romney

By Obama picking Binladen .. this removes the old argument that the Dems would push “ McCain picks a “ OLD WHITE GUY “.

Dick Cheyney (hee hee) .. if only, if only he would, could , run as President....

I think Michael Steele would be excellent. I hadn’t thought about him because we he was on the list being vetted. He’d be a good choice. A very strong conservative speaker without the naval gazing of Alan Keyes.
I think the VP will probably be someone along the Pawlenty, Palin, vein. It is a safe pick and there is no big attack opportunities and no big negatives for them. They are safe and would compliment McCain well.
I’d like Fred Thompson but that isn’t going to happen no more than Romney or Huckabee. Fred has his liabilities too and the last thing McCain needs is to be labeled as the tired lazy old guy ticket. It isn’t fair but that is just being honest. It wouldn’t be an impossible thing to overcome though. I just want McCain to choose a smart choice that won’t expose him to more attacks. He doesn’t need some one to liven up the ticket. That is the way the left thinks and look where it has gotten them. They are wrong and shallow and we are Republicans. We should reject shallow choices risky choices.

Mitt Romney Underwheming primary campaign, too slick
Tim Pawlenty
Fred Thompson Underwheming primary campaign, too lethgetic
Sarah Palin
Tom Ridge - Not conservative
Joe Lieberman - Freakin' socialist
Rudy Guliani - See above two comments
Bobby Jindal - Too soon. Dems will point to Jindal and ridicule McCain attacks on Obama being inexperienced in office
