Pelosi Sunday on Meet the Press : "We have to look after the consumer, we have to increase the supply" ..."Just because they made a political point doesn’t mean we have to follow that"... “If you drill offshore today you wont see any change in the price at the pump for 10 years"... "Releasing oil from the petroleum reserve will bring down the price in 10 days" ... "So this is a fight we have to make , popular or not, so we have to .. ..to the consumer, but not fold because they are not misrepresenting what will happen with offshore drilling" .... "You can reduce the price at the pump immediately, you can have a transition with natural gas, that is cheap abundant and clean"

I have trouble even starting on this. Anyone heating with natural gas knows the price has skyrocketed over past years and would triple or more if we ran cares on it. Clinton vetoed drilling in Alaska 10 years ago. Lastly, when she says it's not popular because big oil misrepresented the issue she means "You are idiots for not agreeing with ME"

Here in some parts of North Idaho, Avista (our natural gas supplier) has asked for a roughly 12% increase in natural gas for the coming months (will last forever).

Wow!!! So much stupid stuffed in one article I’m nearly speechless. There is something very wrong with this woman and I’m not joking!

” “If you drill offshore today you wont see any change in the price at the pump for 10 years"...

BTW isn’t that what the RATs said 30+ years ago? Speechless…

I got a notice from Pennsylvania Power and Light several weeks ago stating that they’re asking for a 30% rate increase for natural gas, beginning on December 1st, just when cold weather sets in.

"We have to look after the consumer, we have to increase the supply"

Nancy...are you as stupid as your statements? If we need to increase supply, then why do you oppose drilling ANWR, OCS, and other federal lands? It could be because of your investments in alternative fuels, could it? Naw...they don't represent a significant portion of your organized-crime generated wealth.

"Just because they made a political point doesn’t mean we have to follow that"

No, but in this case the collective minds of about 200 million+ Americans think you have it wrong so maybe you might want to listen to us.

“If you drill offshore today you wont see any change in the price at the pump for 10 years"

That's not true and you know it. In fact, most of the delay in bringing new sources to market is due to the permit process which, by the way, you could streamline if you wanted to. The permitting process for refineries, pipelines, and power plants is 8+ years. How 'bout getting off that fat ass of yours and pass legislation that cuts it to 6 months and, once decided, there are no appeals. How about worrying less about that unnecessary denuding of the nation's forests you call a book and get back to work helping, rather than hindering, the American consumer.

"Releasing oil from the petroleum reserve will bring down the price in 10 days"

You stupid twit. So we deplete the SPR within 3 months and then the Arabs decide: "Hey! Pelosi just handed us the US economy on a plate. Let's withhold all production for the next 6 months and watch the US economy implode!" My God, woman, do you ever think before you speak?

"So this is a fight we have to make , popular or not, so we have to .. ..to the consumer, but not fold because they are not misrepresenting what will happen with offshore drilling"

This stupid conclusion has already been answered. I just looked up the words "hubris bitch" and guess whose picture I found?

"You can reduce the price at the pump immediately, you can have a transition with natural gas, that is cheap abundant and clean"

How does switching to natural gas "immediately" lower the pump price of gas? I just checked my car and I don't see a Gas-Natural Gas switch anywhere. Also, to make that switch you need additional supplies which means MORE DRILLING, you numskull. I can't decide whether Harry "Federal-Income-Taxes-are-Voluntary" Reid, you, or plankton are the dumbest carbon life forms on the planet.

The petroleum reserve is necessary to be in reserve ... what would happen if we were to be attacked again? Or there was a shutdown from, our oil suppliers?

The reserve is meant for a time of strategic emergency. Our protection against the unthinkable .. which has not happened; however could happen.

The Armed Services can not operate without feul and basic necessities.

SHE COUNTS ON THE PUBLIC NOT KNOWING THE BASICS OF SURVIVING DURING UNCERTAIN TIMES.

Dear God , protect us form the intentions, lies, destructive programs, that our own leaders are promulgating against this nation. Forgive us our dullness of hearing and seeing what is happening around us. Let us not believe the deception of the medias, Congress, big business and one world government supporters. You are our salvation and our refuge, our fortress, our high tower, and our shield. “Without you we can do nothing”. Thank you, Father, that you hear us always. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.Amen.

Pelosi is misinformed about how the Oil Industry works, and certainly how pricing is determined. But all that is beside the point: the Democratic Party is
be holden to Greens whose basically hostility is toward the industrial revolution, whose earliest critics waxed lyrical on the pastoral past and deplored the ugliness of industrial landscapes. But there is a price to be paid
for everything.

Here is the Inhofe article in which he is also endorsing natural gas as a transportation fuel. He also has introduced legislation to push that.

The NYT article currently posted here at FR accurately describes the rising NG supply.

In the last few days, two LNG importers(Cheniere & Freeport) have sought regulatory approval to re-export LNG.

It must be a coinkydink that Pelosi has invested in T Boone’s natural gas business.

Years ago, we didn’t allow people like Pelosi to wander the streets who were so delusional that they were a danger to society...we used to put them in padded cells. She must have some caretaker who dresses her every morning because she obviously doesn’t have the brain power to distinguish a shoe from a purse.

I am amazed. Absolutely amazed. I cannot, for the life of me, fathom the depths of this woman’s ignorance. And, believing her to be a moderately educated person, I simply do not understand how she can be quite this stupid about our current energy crisis.

Releasing supplies from the SPR would open the way to possibly crippling the US economy by a simple production embargo by the foreign supplies on which we depend.

The switch to Natural Gas? Another pipe dream. Most of America can barely afford groceries, let alone refitting the family transportation to run on NatGas.

Oppose drilling? The height of political arrogance.

This stuff has to stop...

There is a woman Connie who regularly calls in to the local morning talk show. She is a flaming lib who spews DNC talking points.

This morning she said "Screw Pelosi. Send her back to San Francisco."

Even some of the flaming libs know she's an embarrassment.

In the last few days, two LNG importers(Cheniere & Freeport) have sought regulatory approval to re-export LNG.

That is not going to help domestic prices. I don't think they are asking to be limited to re-export, but to also export domestically produced Nat Gas as well.

Spending the savings account instead of getting a job.

Typical RAT thinking.

RE “Spending the savings account instead of getting a job.”

It’s an election year so democrat logic is you spend the (oil reserve) savings and borrow to send welfare stimulus checks to voters and then after the election you ‘do the right thing’ and ‘make responsible decisions’ and ‘follow americas priorities’ and ‘pay as we go’ which means TAKE YOUR MONEY!
