I have been shocked and dismayed that some Catholics have given public support to Barack Obama.In doing so they have twisted Catholic doctrine beyond the point of recognition, have misrepresented the glorious teachings of the Church to our fellow Americans and worst of all they have invited their brothers and sisters to compromise their faith.

The Church has stated that we have the freedom to hold whatever opinion we have judged to be correct “provided [we are] always disposed to listen with religious obedience to what the Holy See may decide on [a] question.”

As Americans we are also allowed a great degree of freedom so long as we do not run afoul of the basic rule of government:"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed,—That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it . . . ."

Rather than building on these fundamental principles of truth and justice, the candidacy of Barack Obama offers only death, tyranny and despair.

All this means is that for many Catholics, the “D” outweighs the “C”. It’s tradition.

If "Catholics" are giving public support to Obama, they are practicing heresy. That is, they are profoundly at odds with Catholic teaching. Indeed it is time to set the record straight. Life begins at the moment of conception.

for a clear description of the errors pro-abortion candidates espouse. There is no doubt that the so-called “catholics” in the RAT party are all heretics. They deny the infallible teaching that life begins at conception. And they persist in their heresy.

There is no doubt that the so-called “catholics” in the RAT party are all heretics. They deny the infallible teaching that life begins at conception. And they persist in their heresy.

Many of these heretics do not know what they are doing. They are lifelong Democrats unaware of what has happened to their party. They attribute the abortion issue to the fringe, not realizing that they themselves are now the fringe of a demented, socialist, Marxist Party. Maybe telling them that they are practicing heresy would help wake them up to reality. That may be difficult for their disordered minds to comprehend.

It is their duty to teach and lead. Only by our insistence will they do so, or become no more than Pharisses.

However, he (Obama) has promised to sign the Freedom of Choice Act which would eliminate all restrictions on abortion, require all insurance companies to pay for abortions and use our tax dollars to pay for abortions.

Obamacide ...... and he wants to force us into it.

Charity is a great virtue, but saying that they do not know “what they are doing” is wrong. They know EXACTLY what they are doing, selling their souls for votes and power. The Democratic Party has NEVER held the rights of man inviolate. They supported slavery, segregation, and now, abortion on demand.

Persistent and pernicious heresy most be exposed and fought constantly. We were warned by Pope St. Pius X when he condemned as heresy the Modernist views held by politicians.

Thank you for the link.

The term heresy connotes, etymologically, both a choice and the thing chosen, the meaning being, however, narrowed to the selection of religious or political doctrines, adhesion to parties in Church or State.

The Catholic Encyclopedia presents an enlightened view, historical background, and useful discourse of the dimensions of heresy. It leaves no doubt that many of our political leaders are heretics.

I was shocked when my Democrat best friend insisted that an invitro baby has no "soul" till it's actually born. Her son is a Priest.

Next time he comes home, I'm going to sit down with him and ask him if HE believes this very thing.

If he does, I'm leaving the Church.

The "they" in the sentence was referring to the rank and file, not the leaders. That is, I was talking about several of my relatives (and many others) who know nothing better than to vote Democratic. They are living in the past, and have not updated their understanding of where their life-long party has been going. These are the kind of people who vote time and again for corrupt leaders like John Murtha, because he brings money into their district; it is idolatry.

Better yet, ask him to leave your Church, as he is not in Communion with Catholic teaching and dogma. There s no place for a heretic to hid his sin, much less than conceal it from Him who made us all.
