Today's move by McCain to pick a conservative woman, with courage, and a strong background for change in Alaska is wonderful.

A FoxNews commentator said when asked if she would be tough enough for Washington, that a politician from Alaska said "the political landscape is littered with the bodies of those who have come against her".

Gov Palin recently visited the troops in Iraq, and will be concerned with National Security. She also is pro drilling in Alaska. A true conservative for the Republican base.

Let us at FreeRepublic get behind this very conservative woman, who will compliment McCain.

She is a brilliant choice, and the Obamanation is in despair, today, I guarantee you, because all his thunder from last night is gone this morning and by next week no one will even remember what he said.

I will go from tolerating McCain, to enthusiastically supporting the ticket.

First CNN says she shouldn’t be the pick because she has a Down Syndrome child, implying that a woman with a DS child should not be in the work force. Now they just said that because she is a woman, she couldn’t possibly wage the War On Terror.

First point, now they are admitting there is a WOT. Second point, have any of these male CNN anchors ever watched Animal Planet and the reaction of a bear when her cubs are threatened? What a bunch of imbeciles.

That’ll leave a mark on the B&B boys. Bambie and Biden need to re-write their play book. She’s a good looking gal with Executive experience; which none of the three men running can boast, and from what I’ve been able to learn, and accomplished politician.

Sent out an order for more popcorn!

I am very glad to be wrong about McCain on this one :).
I was sure it would be Liberman. The only sad thing for me about this pick is that I wish she was on the TOP of the ticket !

The first thing McCain has done in some time that I’m 100% in agreement with. She will tear Joe OBiden a new rectal orifice.

The NYSlimes story says it takes away the McCain camp’s ability to wage war about Obama’s lack of experience. Good IMO. Focus on the issues for crying out loud. (I know experience is important, but aren’t things like the economy, our second amendment rights, and freedom of speech more important than that?) McCain/Palin 08!

Why would McCain's campaign go looking for this kind of trouble:

when they can't know for certain where this is going.

I mean, why buy yourself this kind of potential baggage?

It's nuts.
