It would be next to impossible to reshedule the convention at this late date.

The good news is that a Republican Governor is in charge of Louisiana now. Jindal is possibly the only VP pick I would have prefered over Palin.

IMHO.

Spare me any flames. It's my humble opinion.

the coming week will make or break Jindal as a viable prospect for 2012 and beyond. So far the state seems much more prepared, although he seems to be going overboard a little bit. They’re ready to implement evacuation plans without knowing which direction to evacuate yet, and apparently he was pushing to cancel LSU’s season opener when it wouldn’t have affected emergency preparations at all. They finally compromised and moved it up to Saturday morning.

I’ve read some of the contingency plans and it appears to be over-kill, but the DBM will eat him alive if NOLA turns into another shark-infested swamp.

Meanwhile, the loving Democrats are hoping for a disastrous hurricane strike at New Orleans...

We could end up with a Palin/Jindal or Jindal/Palin ticket someday.

Politics before people, the dogma of Democrats.

So will the LSU fans have enough time to get drunk before the game?

I hate to say it, but yes, the Democrats are just dying for this hurricane to hit New Orleans during the Republican convention. And sad to say, as much as they have reinforced the levees around New Orleans, the Democrats would love to see them fail and the city flooded again. They would love to be able to blame all this on Bush/McCain/more of the same.

I hate to think that unkindly about the Democrats, but, we all saw how they politicized Hurricane Katrina, and their buddies in the MSM let them get away with it. In spite of the poor response by good Democrats such as Mayor Ray Nagin and then-Governor Blanco, the MSM and Democrats were able to successfully blame it all on Bush.

Sure, they'll start on Friday night and just keep feeding the buzz round-the-clock.....

Judging the handful of LSU grads I know...YES!
