My comment is this,
Make sure everyone tapes it, it will be historical.
Sarah could skin a moose with a leatherman, she can haul fish onto the deck of a fishing boat in the most dangerous of Alaskan seas, she knows which end of a rifle the bullet comes out of and does it to bring home food for the family, not for sport or photo ops.
I don’t think Palin needs any help, but if she does, she could call on Coulter as a speechwriter.
Palin is tougher (and better looking) than Chaney. Her only con is that she has shot a lot of caribou, but has never bagged a lawyer. Is Joe Biden a lawyer?
No need to worry about Palin. The Left is worrying plenty enough to go around.
Biden is the easiest type of person to put off-stride in a debate. I shouldn't doubt that Ms. Palin will be very able to goad him into one of his notorious gaffes, probably with little trouble.
And, of course, should The Plagiarist resort to his favourite tactic, namely bullying, 1) Ms. Palin will handle it quite nicely, and 2) he'll look just like the stupid sod that he is.
There are other issues than ANWR. Democrats have plenty of time to find a wedge issue or two. If they think it’s abortion, they’re going to have to pound sand.
I don’t feel sorry for Biden at all. I hope she filets him like a salmon.
When you’ve been fighting the “good ole boy” insider club of your own party, fighting “Bidet” should just be an invigorating wash.
Sarah appears to never have to think about what she believes and like most women, doesn't hesitate to spit it out. She has a BS in Journalism (obvious from her appearance yesterday)with a minor in Political Science.
Her likability compared to the smarmy Biden is stunning. Of course, he will use his usual tactics but considering he's never left DC and the Senate sense he was 30, he's out of touch with real people while Sarah is very much in touch with real people.
Let Biden "go for the jugular" and he'll only come across as the blowhard, BS, bully that he is.
Somehow, I don't think that Sarah will be overly intimidated by him as she has faced down Alaskan bears intent on having her for lunch. Compare that to a limp wrist like Biden, no problem.
sigh...
See my post #8.
But they are choosing not to to cover the fact that many, many conservatives are fired up by this choice.
I'm one of them.
Sorry.
>> Sorry.
Nah, it’s my fault... an attempt at a clever bit of humor gone bad! Oh well, back to the drawing board...
I think she will do fine.
On another note, my son and his girl friend went to the Dayton event. He's independent; from talking to her, I would suspect she is a democrat. She wanted to vote for a women - that meant Hilliary.
Walking out of the Wright State arena my son said he was stunned and knew he was going to vote Republican; and then he heard his girl friend say “I'm going to vote for her”; that made him realized the significance of what had just happened!
Funny you say that, I was thinking that same thing the other night as I watched him on (I think? don't remember) O’Reilly. I've always liked him because, even though I disagree generally with his opinions, he expresses himself intelligently, is very well-spoken and presents a logical, well-thought out opinion. He does seem to be moving to the right...
Was it Churchill that said: ‘If you are not liberal when you are young, you have no heart. If you are not conservative when you are old, you have no brain’?
Why the ‘sigh’? We appear to be in close agreement.
Yes, she did. I am very fortunate to be able to work out of my house, so I was able to watch the entire thing live. After she was done, my wife said, “I don't think she used notes or a teleprompter”. I had noticed that and was very impressed with her poise, intelligence and presentation.
She's a winner. I know the VP doesn't have much clout, nor is this election one of VP’s. I was very lukewarm on McCain (the old hold-the-nose-why-you-vote) as I am conservative - now I am downright, absolutely on the McCain/Palin bandwagon. He could not have done better.
Here’s a thread with a link to the Alaskan primary debate. Granted, Biden may be more difficult to debate than these two primary opponents, but I think Sarah did very well. She’s intelligent, sincere, civil, yet forceful and persistent:

The Democrats will regret painting her as a lightweight and lowering expectations if she even manages to hold her own against Biden. I think she will surprise everyone and mop the floor with Joe.
