Call off your flying monkeys before Palin starts picking them off with an M-16.

Yeah, that one is just weird. But not worrisome.

Follow the money. Half of America either gets free government money handouts, or derives most or all of their income from government employment.

The GOP is not immune from sexism, and I too, expect to hear some sniping.I don't think sexism will be the reason.
The liberal wing of the GOP is probably already quietly chafing at the conservative base's vocally positive response to her candidacy.

Well, that’s true, too. I guess I’ve just got my dander up already (I’ve got to stop going to DU and poking around... it takes DAYS for my sanity to return! LOL)

I hear you three times...
Although, I don't expect she will need *our* protection, I hold it to be self evident by her own biography that she is perfectly capable on her own behalf (and has a husband only a pure, suicidal fool would be apt to enrage)...

You have to point the weapon to the left, not as she does.
Therefore before, I am condemned to hell for misinterpeting your intent, I surrender, my years as an Infantryman, in my youth, I hope, will excuse the literalism.

She is right handed, that aside. I would like to be a Gov and try out all the neat stuff, just for familiarization of course. Not *all* right-handed marksmen fire right handed. I'm right handed, but fire shoulder weapons left-handed, as my dominant eye is left. Might be the same in her case.

I was trained by Grandfather to shoot with both eyes open, it was hard, scopes excepted. I am semi weakly left handed and I have to correct.

In was originally trained to fire strictly right handed, but some experimentation on my part determined in short order that I was more accurate using my left eye. I never looked back, as that better accuracy could spell the difference between survival, and extinction...

I know where you are coming from. In pistol shooting, in my experience, the both eyes open works well, it is natural, with training.
With a rifle in a combat situation, fire suppression comes into play, spray and pray. I think, to my mind anyway. That designated shooters should, marksman, do point targets, while other highly trained people attack. There is no target practice in a face to face just reflexes.

I too am a righty who is left eye dominant. I was a horrible shot with the M-16 when in the USAF. It kicked the brass out into my face. By the end of qualification the right side of my face was a bloody, burned mess. My scores were terrible because I was flinching to try to avoid the brass.

The most accurate way to shoot is with both eyes open. Not everyone can do that. I'm also an NRA personal protection/pistol instructor.
Seems as the one-eye or two-eyes way to shoot depends on the focal length of each eye and eye dominance. If they don't click, you shoot one-eyed.
Ideally you should be able to use the sight with one eye and see the target with the other.
Anyway, if you're a civvy and it's personal protection you won't be shooting at more than 20-25 feet where target acquisition isn't so hard.
