I also read today that S.Palin was a Lt. Governor as well as now Governor! So again she will be acting in a co-leader capacity, and if she and McCain win, both can learn from each other, much in the same way as Reagan/Bush 41, and Bush 43/Cheney (B.Clinton/A.Gore, dare I mention!)did. In each case, there was one with executive experience, and one with legislative experience!
Yep, I thought that it would go up a little more from an 8 point lead, but it just stalled.
Obama went from having 45% of the vote in polls pre-convention to 49% post-convention -- not good news for him.
Yes, Palin will become a role model for many conservative young women.
It will help our nation a lot.
Not just "not good", but totally devastating. He didn't "close the deal" with the voting public at his coronation, had his thunder swiped from him immediately thereafter, and the only thing he has left is the debates (remember Saddleback?)
He's out of time, and out of options, at this point, and I suspect his internals show an even worse outcome than this shows. Steven Schmidt has out gunned David Axelrod, at every turn, since Obama became the presumptive nominee, and has kept Team "The Zero" off balance, and on the defensive for at least the last six weeks.
Were this a prize fight, and not an election, the situation is such that, were I refereeing it, I would end the contest right here, since Axelrod is too stupid to actually throw in the towel, before his fighter gets killed...
the infowarrior
McCain/Palin 47%
Obama/Biden 45%...
Today the huge +12 Wed rolls off the sample, and the lead will go down to +6 or so. So, all an all he got about 4-5 pts convention bounce.
In Rasmussen, the last five samples are M +2, =, O +6, O +3, O +3. Once again, the big day rolls off the sample today. Rasmussen poll is tighter, since he controls for party ID, which may be a wrong way to go during the convention period, since it underestimates the movement of I to D or R during the convention.
If Palin and McCain speeches on Wed/Th are successful (and if Gustav is not Katrina #2), the race should be close to even by next Sunday.
That’s an on-line “interactive” poll from Zogby... In other words, useless
Even though Palin has more executive experience than Obama, Hillary, and Biden combined, did the media ask this question about their qualifications? Hardly.”
WE ALL NEED TO BE MAKING THIS POINT IN LETTERS TO THE EDITOR AND ONLINE FORUMS.
THIS IS THE KIND OF LETTER WE NEED TO SEND:
McCain has made an excellent choice in Sarah Palin, Governor of Alaska, our number one energy producer and geographically largest state.
Sarah Palin is a conservative reformer who has executive experience and accomplishments, and has actually stood up to special interests and exposed corruption, even in her own party. Obama talks the talk but Sarah Palin has walked the walk of reform.
If the Obama camp is saying that a sitting governor is not ready to be Vice President, when she has had executive experience while Obama has none, they are really admitting that Obama is not ready to be President.
I changed the product so this one doesnt exist. I ultimately didnt like it. I changed it to this one
(click the image to get one)
then shouldn’t she be the Presidential candidate and not McCain ? Have always wondered if being Governor of a state with fewer people than Sunnyvale counts. The bimbo will sink McCain.
