Alan Colmes "Libertard": Cheap-Shotting Palin's Last Childbirth
Alan Colmes Liberaland ^ | August 30, 2008 | Alan Colmes

Posted on 08/30/2008 9:10:09 PM PDT by seanrobins

Rogers Cadenhead gives the timeline associated with the birth of her newest child. She had a speech in Dallas and, even after the water broke, continued with her activities, and then boarded a plane for home. She did consult by phone with her doctor.

Still, a Sacramento, Calif., obstetrician who is active in the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, said when a pregnant woman’s water breaks, she should go right to the hospital because of the risk of infection. That’s true even if the amniotic fluid simply leaks out, said Dr. Laurie Gregg.

Alan Colmes (Sean Hannity's only-occasionally-rational libertard FNC co-host) has sunk to his lowest with this slimy innuendo about the birth of Sarah Palin's latest child.

Colmes chooses to leave out of his "account" that Palin's baby, although born slightly premature, was born healthy. (Gee, too bad, Alan.... if not, you could have - probably would have - argued that she should have had it aborted)

If Sean Hannity doesn't at least rip Alan a new one over this sleaze, then Hannity's not the person we think he is.

Alan Colmes: What a j***a**

I can’t believe that we are going to politicize the birth of Sarah’s baby.

What next — will we politicize the fact that Sarah is 44, and that older women such as herself are more likely to have risky pregnancies? Are we going to politicize whether she and her husband were actively trying to get pregnant? Are we going to politicize the fact that she and her husband consider each of their five children to be blessings, considering that the politically correct crowd believes in routinely aborting down’s syndrome babies?

Just how far into the gutter are they going to go?

Hey, Alan, stay out of a woman’s child birth (not just her bedroom)! Obviously, this is in the DEMS talking points they handed out to the jerk.

LANDSLIDE in the making and they are running scared.

All these men suddenly concerned about “women’s work”.

That CNN guy worried about how she would take care of her son and now Alan worried about safe practices during labor.

Leave women’s work to women, boys.

Last time I checked, medical decisions made between a woman and her doctor and nobody’s business but their own...

Oh wait... that’s only the decision to kill the baby.

I hope they run with this nonsense, because it’s guaranteed to backfire.

After all, isn’t a woman free to choose what she does with her own body? Seems I’ve heard that somewhere before.

Actually, the latest at Daily Kos and DU is the notion that the baby is actually Palin’s granddaughter, and she’s been covering up the pregnancy of her teenage daughter. The leftists are all-a-twitter over this possibility.

Classy, aren’t they?

If they push this story (regardless of it’s veracity) they will find that this election will be a landslide of historic proportions. Oh please please please...

I never liked Horseface. The first time I saw him on TV, was when the anti-Condi cartoons came out that were extremely racist. He defended them and said he didn’t think they were racist. This was back when I was still a Democrat, but not for long because of comments like this from Democrats and Liberals.

I agree. Colmes is entertaining ........and there has to be didplayed folly from the left. But, I've lost a LOT of respect for Sean lately. (or is it just for FOX NEWS?). Dunno. Hannity has kindof been a wet rag and Holmes is a clueless wonder out there in left field.........but Sean is attached to him because of the structure of the show.

Hannity should break-away and leave Colmes holding the bag. Colmes should only be on "Air America". Let's get real.

Haven’t watched Hannity in a long time. Don’t care for shout-fests, but the main reason is that if the price of listening to Hannity is Colmes, the price is too high.
Actually, I don’t care for the “fair-and-balanced” format, which is really something of a conceit.

Their idea of “fair” is to have leftist nutjobs shouting down whoever they don’t agree with, and then Hannity gets to shout them down. It gets old. Hannity is OK, but the whole screaming Yin and Yang Punch and Judy thing has got to go. In my opinion.

How about a reasoned discussion among reasonable people? and if you can’t find any reasonable people to speak for Team Left, then that should tell you something. “Reason” doesn’t always cleave simply between Left and Right and I don’t have time or patience to listen to a debate between Reason and Absurdity just for the sake of balance.

Hannity is a Rush-wanna-be.

Oh, I’m sure that he is a conservative....

But, he is only in it for the money.

He has three kinds of callers on his radio show.

1. His political friends. Newt........They all agree with him. Unlistenable.

2. Those who hate him, on the left. They scream at each other until he says that he’s up against a hard break. Unlistenable.

3. NASCAR women. “I Love Yeeewwwww Shawwwwwaaaaannnnnn”

Unlistenable.

He’s a likable person, and that’s it.

This whole thing is making me physically sick. Disturbing me. I am emotionally disturbed by this.

I can not stand to see Sarah have to go through this. it breaks my heart. Maybe it is because I have a wife and we are expecting twins. If people said these things about my wife, I would be emotionally tortured to the 9th degree. I guess there is something different about Sarah being a woman. I feel so protective of her like it is a natural reflex. I cant bare to see this stuff.

Exactly!

I should think a woman about to give birth for the fifth time can decide for herself when to go to the hospital.

Especially a frontierswoman like Palin.

And with all the home births taking place nowadays...hospital? What hospital??

The Amish women here in Pennsylvania have eight or nine babies without ever seeing the inside of a hospital.

This shows Colmes to be an utter idiot.

>>>But, he is only in it for the money.

This is totally unfair to Hannity... And you have nothing to back it up.

You can legitimately argue that he, from time to time - too often in my mind - is not conservative enough, but he is four square a conservative, ...

I think that the basis of most reasonable and rational criticism of Sean Hannity is that he is too much of a pragmatist, when it comes to compromises (both his and others) between liberalism and conservatism.

If you can afford the assault charge a right hook that he is not expecting would take away a lot of emotional torture.

To a degree, I think he has. Let’s not forget Hannity’s America. That has got to stick right in Colmes’ craw. (And, please don’t ask me what a “craw” is, I don’t know)

Plus, he has a radio show that is Second to One. (One, of course, =RUSH)

But, Sean is just too loyal - for better or worse - to give Colmes the boot. (And make no mistake, boot him from FNC Sean could, if he wanted)

Sarah Palin is so tough that when she was informed she would need a c-section, she instinctively thought of performing the procedure herself...with her teeth.

Sarah Palin is so tough that she ate Chuck Norris alive and spit him out saying that the texture reminded her of baby food.

I saw that already all over DU. Some sample comments:

“This is going to bring down the McCain campaign!”

“Gov. Palin is lying. Your fifth baby comes really quickly. You don’t have time to get on a plane and fly from Texas to Alaska”

“If she’s lying about the baby being hers and not her daughter’s, she’ll lie about anything! WMDs anyone?”

And my favorite for the ick factor - “The daughter’s father is probably the father of the baby!”

Honestly, there really are 2 Americas, the sane people, and the batsh*t loonies.

The woman had had four children before this one. She understands the way her body works, and was on the phone with her doctor. It’s no one’s business but hers.

By the way, there is a slight resemblance here to the old Teddy Roosevelt story where he was shot and then went on to deliver a speech.

As a nurse that's worked in Labor and Delivery, this is very misleading statement. She doesn't need to go immediately. It does start the clock ticking towards infection, but if she gets there within 24 hours it shouldn't be a problem. Longer rupture doesn't necessarily mean she'll get an infection either. It is just a risk. In this instance, it sounds like her decision was fine if she wasn't at term and wasn't in labor.
