Additional Link to Chicago Tribune article: "NATO: No 'business as usual' with Moscow" The Russian planes have been challenged by Alaska-based F-22s and F-15s and escorted in the other direction without incident, officials said. ...
BRUSSELS, Belgium - BRUSSELS, Belgium -- NATO allies said Tuesday there would be no "business as usual" with Moscow until Russian troops withdraw from all parts of Georgia, but members of the Western alliance disagreed on the extent to which Moscow should be more permanently isolated.
An alliance declaration calling on Russia to "demonstrate -- both in word and deed" its commitment to its cooperative relationship with NATO, one U.S. official said, was "better than we thought" could be achieved in the face of reluctance from some European partners.
Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said, "The United States sought precisely what we got in this statement." But other diplomats said the consensus document was a reflection of the fact that the alliance has few options -- short of military action, which its members have rejected -- to force its will on Russia.

There's been a lot of discussion flying around and promoted by the left that Governor Sarah Palin has no foreign relations experience. In short, that's a load of bull from ignorant talking heads who are in a panic over McCain's excellent choice of a running mate.
As Governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin is the Commander in Chief of the Alaska National and Air Guard that combined is a force larger than many third world armies.
Alaska is compelled to take daily defensive postures against Russian TU-95 Bear flights and other frequent incursions.
An F22 "escorts" a TU95 Bear
Governor Palin also is at constant odds with Russia over fishing rights and other aspects of running a state 1/3 the size of the continental United States right next to an aggressive competitive nation with precious little moral boundaries.
"Can I get cheese with that? Hello?!?"
Compare that with Obama's foreign relations experience, which, outside of his "Berlin Bust" was previously relegated to pressing #1 for English or #2 for Spanish.
I really don't think Obama wants to take this debate any farther.
I'm not at all worried about Governor Palin handling herself in them. Heck, Sarah Palin's couch is tougher than Joe Biden...
Absolutely! The charge is weak. She also happens to have direct experience with two of today’s hot button issues, environmental concerns and energy independence.
Har!
Palin’s state is right next to Russia and the North Pole. Biden’s state is just a few miles from Washington D.C!
ah, yes. It seems to have slipped the minds of the genius elite that the Governor of Alaska is the Chief Executive of a state that is a short hop from a superpower that is hostile to America’s interests.
The irony of a trophy “Bear” and the Russian TU 95 Bear reconnaissance aircraft.
I’m curious to know what Putin thinks of Palin being possibly the next leader of the United States of America.

The fact that the Alaska Air National Guard has F-22s speaks volumes as to how the federal government feels about the importance of Alaska and its National guard in our national defence. How many other national guards have F-22s?
Great bumper sticker. Based on her experience as a Mayor, a Governor, and CIC of the Alaska Guard, a very compelling argument can and should be made that she is the ONLY one on either ticket with any creditable EXECUTIVE experience.
She is the governor of the only state that borders two foreign countries.
Thank you for this awesome graphic. It could not depict more succinctly the differences in our Core Beliefs and our Candidates.
BTW, STOLEN! Hahaha
