You Stay Classy, Alan Colmes
Wizbang ^ | August 31, 2008 | Kim Priestap

Posted on 09/01/2008 1:35:56 AM PDT by Delacon

Alan Colmes of Hannity and Colmes wrote a post so inappropriate and offensive the Kos Kiddies would be envious. He accused Governor Palin of not taking enough care of Trig when he was an unborn baby. A man who has no problem with a woman killing her unborn baby through an abortion actually has the nerve to ask if Governor Palin took too great a risk with her pregnancy:

Rogers Cadenhead gives the timeline associated with the birth of her newest child. She had a speech in Dallas and, even after the water broke, continued with her activities, and then boarded a plane for home. She did consult by phone with her doctor.

Still, a Sacramento, Calif., obstetrician who is active in the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, said when a pregnant woman's water breaks, she should go right to the hospital because of the risk of infection. That's true even if the amniotic fluid simply leaks out, said Dr. Laurie Gregg.

In case he takes it down in an effort to hide his idiocy, I captured a screen shot for everyone to see. Click the image to enlarge.

Update By Jay Tea: Yup, as Kim predicted, it's gone down the memory hole. Apparently it was causing some "technical issues" for the site, so it got deleted. Congrats to Kim for having the foresight to get that screen capture. But if some more technically adept person than me can pull up a copy of the article in its entirety, we'll be more than proud to post it here at Wizbang.

In my career at Wizbang, I have unpublished exactly one article (not counting duplicates and other actual errors), and that was it was in incredibly poor taste. I didn't just disappear it, though; I posted another article stating it had been done, why, and apologized for it.

Publishing, then deleting, articles that later prove embarrassing is one of the most cowardly things that can be done in the blogosphere. It's also one of the dumbest, because the internet NEVER FORGETS ANYTHING. It only emphasizes the wrongness of the author who does it. In this case, Colmes gets to add "coward" to the list of epithets that people can toss at him over his initial article.

We don't do that here. It's not just a matter of principle for me, but sheer practicality -- as shown here, it doesn't work. It never works. I learned that when Kos issued his famous "screw them" piece on the American contractors murdered and left displayed in Iraq, then tried to Control-Z his way out of it. Several years later, it's still what he is best known for to a lot of people.

My apologies, Kim, for hijacking your article here. I probably should have made it a separate posting. But once I started, I just started going and going (as is my wont). I'll shut up now.

Alan must have been thoroughly doped up the day they covered genetics in Middle School health.

Downs syndrome is genetic. The extra chromosome is fixed at conception. Nothing after conceptions can impact it.

Of course the entire left thinks that an unborn baby is just a lump of Play Doh that has no shape or features until it is the process of passing out of the birth canal.

Of course it does have a head at that point or else they wouldn't know where to sink the scissors. Alan has in aces the particular deformity common to most liberals. Rectocranial inversion.

Thinking? We're talking Alan Colmes here - the man is lucky if he has two brain cells close enough together in his skull to fire an impulse across the lone synapse!

To put it another way - the reason Allan's neck is so skinny is that he doesn't have to hold up much weight above his shoulders.

“That was especially bad coming from him. What was he thinking?”

The natural inclination of any pundit to appear reasonable and intelligent was overcome by his innate liberal desire to do anything to get Obama elected.

I dunno that any liberal is a classy guy.

People who confess to not believing in God do not have the value system it takes to be overly classy.

Alan Colmes has been tweaked to months now that Conservatives have criticized Michelle R. Obama. He feels that it is inappropriate. Attacks against family members ought to be forbidden. But she is campaigning for her husband, making politically charged speeches and statements, thus Conservatives pile on the criticism.

Of course, if Todd Palin said something political and made campaign speeches in place of his wife, the Libs would be all over him with blistering, nasty criticism.

I guess human genetics is above Alan Colmes pay grade.

And to think these types of people think they know when human life begins.

Aren’t they the “experts” on everything scientific from global warming to stem cell research? Aren’t they the same one who are always saying how ignorant Republicans are about science?

I feel sorry for Colmes.
Night after night he has to deal with looking and sounding like an idiot next to Sean Hannity.
He has to defend and promote points that are usually Un-American against Hannity’s points that are very American
It is easy to see how all that could make him finally snap and go all in and a liberal hatemonger.

...”Alan must have been thoroughly doped up the day they covered genetics in Middle School health”...

He knows better. Leftists seem to just make it up as they go. Hedonism is scraping the bottom of the barrel days. At one time we had a book by the title of THE RISE AND FALL OF COMPLEX SOCIETIES and I have recently thought about that as mountain loads of information hit us each day with so little time to think or sift through even a small about of it. This leaves fertile ground for the word merchants on TV to just throw anything they want out there for consumption. They know that scandalous fiction is red meat for the uneducated and bored. However, Alan has put his foot in it this time. By the way, does he have kids?

Please don’t feel that way. Sarah is someone whose life and actions fits her claims about who she is and that is so refreshing that the “people” rejoice. I was desperate for John McCain to choose Sarah but I never thought he would..She is a pioneer woman, she is a Rennaisance woman, she is not an elitist, a liar, a Washington insider, or a pawn for a corrupt political party..Perhaps her greatest strength is her Motherhood, for she has become a tigress as she works for those children and all children. I believe Sarah took a look at the drift of our society toward socialism and communism and decided to do something about it. The first order of business was to clean up corruption and she did, whether those involved were Democrats or Republicans. Does anyone here think that is not the dream of every honest person in American who loves freedom?? Just watch the the decadent leftist fringe go after those children..They know the strength which lies there. This past weekend, everyone I know and I have friends of all persuasions, is intrigued and excited about Sarah. That kind of joy and hope for change cannot be denied. It just spills over. I know many Democrats and Republicans and none of them were excited about the field until Sarah entered on Friday. Her candidacy is unprecendented in the Republican party..Just pray for everyone and enjoy!

Guess Alan would have preferred she induced labor a week earlier then have the brain sucked out of the baby while the child was alive rather than flying back to Alaska after her water broke and giving birth to a healthy baby boy.

I'm going to barf now!

Because hospitals are such clean places? She'd already delivered four kids, I think she understands the process.

My wife (a physician) stayed at home after going into labor simply because she preferred NOT being at the hospital. God bless her, she was at 9mm when we arrived with the second one.

And does Allen think that anything that the woman does after conception determines whether the child has Downs? And Allen is backing a candidate that would have gladly had the baby's head crushed and limbs dismembered at the exact same point in time.
