Palin faces scrutiny, Internet rumours as VP pick
CTV ^ | 9/1/2008 | CTV.ca News Staff

Just days after Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin was made the surprise Republican candidate for vice president, she has been vigorously attacked on left-wing blogs and even her hometown newspapers.

It's a stark contrast from the 80 per cent approval rating she enjoys as governor in an out-of-the-way state.

I've been noticing many of these idiot DBM reporters have been referring to Alaska as some, "Who gives a care about." kind of state.

Could there be a bigger bunch of complete numbnuts?

Good - they are worried - and they should be.

McCain hasn’t been sitting learning nothing during his years of public service -

The more they squeal, the more we know the target has been hit.

God Bless Alaska.

We’d be royally screwed without it, and the people there are some of the toughest yet nicest people in the nation.

Sarah Palin is not the only one!

Delaware?

You know, I’ve driven from New York or Philadelphia to Baltimore or Washington dozens of times, and although I’ve been told that Delaware is along there somewhere, I haven’t actually been able to find it.

Is there some trick to it?

And of course they must repeat the rumors, however unfounded. The coverage of Palin’s nomination should remove any doubt about whether the MSM is biased or not.

We used to live in DE. The state is only about 17 miles wide along I-95 between NJ and MD, so if you blink your eye, you missed it.

But you didn't miss much. Other than the nice beaches downstate, it doesn't have an awfully lot to commend it.

Delaware? It borders Virginia. At least that’s what Tim Kaine said.

And that shall be their un-doing.

McCain/Palin, in a landslide.

Politics ain't beanbag. When the smoke clears, people will see there's no real substance to the attacks on Sarah. Most of them are personal in nature and few concern her fitness to be Vice President. All the Rats are doing is inoculating her to more damaging attacks later. That's quite a service they're doing by expending all their bullets this early in the game!

Biggest problem for the MSM was that they did their homework to smear the an expected Republican nominee ( Romney and the like ) and got a kick in the crotch. These goofy blog rumors are merely a place holder until the MSM gets up to speed on their Palin smears. I didn't expect the web rumors to be so lame, but I guess we have to consider the sources.

Do you think that the MSM will run the puff pieces about how Sarah was the point guard on her state championship hoops team?

Delaware is on I95 between Maryland and New Jersey. One of the toll booths on I95 has a sign that says something about being in Delaware.

I think their only industries are the toll road and a chemical plant across the river from Philly.

A lot of companies used to incorporate there because it was cheap and nobody could find them. Now they incorporate in Nevada and just hide in the desert.

Valiant effort to win the hearts of Alaskans.....

I wonder what they think of the other VP state....the one that looks like a fly spot on the map.

I think it's that three mile stretch of road where you have to pay the toll.

Downstate is beautiful. You might want to try a side trip sometime.
