Any speculation that Barack Obama will suddenly find it in his heart to accept ages old democratic practices can be put to rest with a letter he recently wrote urging a company to eliminate the secret ballot of workers being solicited for union membership.
The Baker City Herald has the story of Beef Northwest, a food service company, that is undergoing union agitation. Employees of Beef Northwest are being urged to join the United Farm Workers union and Obama sent a letter in support of that initiative.
Some of the employees that want the union openly signed cards saying they want the union and want to eschew a secret ballot. Beef Northwest is maintaining that the "card check" vote is not legitimate and wants a secret ballot taken. For his part, Obama sent a letter against the ages old democratic process of the secret ballot...

Obama is a typical leftist radical. His behavior here demonstrates that. Leftists don’t believe in the old ways of exercising democracy, like the secret ballot. They prefer their authoritarian approach. I heard them say the same thing 35 years ago, when they were just campus radicals.

Nothing strikes more fear into union thugs than the threat of a secret ballot on the choice of whether to allow a union to negotiate or not.
DemoncRATS are behind this issue solely on basis of the additional funds union bosses, not the members, can pump into their re-elction campaigns.

This is basically a tax on workers solely for the benefit of the Democratic Party. This is one of the most egregious anti-democratic devices I have ever heard of in my life.
The secret ballot is sacrosanct but just look how the leftists throw it under the bus when that helps them attain money and power.

I would have to agree with obama.. Democracy is MOB RULE by mobsters and creates socialism.. Fortunatly America is a Republic.. not a demmocrat-republic but a Constitutional Republic.. Democracy is a BAD WORD.. and most of Europe and other parts of the world is cursed with it.. When hearing the word DEMOCRACY Americans should spit on the ground.. it is a nasty thing.. The AMerican constitution DOES NOT have the words democracy or democratic ANYWHERE within it.. BY DESIGN.. You know ON PURPOSE...
Back when UPS went on strike one of the UPS Drivers told me that the "secret" ballot was mailed to them with a Return Envelope. The Envelope was pre-addressed with both the Destination AND the Return address complete with Name.

obama has never earned an honest dime in his life. Wait til the companies decide to get along with out union workers..or will they force the company to hire union workers>
A “caucus” is sort of a democracy, but it looks to find consensus, not promote debate or poll attitudes accurately. And that is what a union election would become, a caucus used to bully the reluctant into submission to the will of the majority, or at least the dominant faction. Those voting against the union proposals favored by the union chiefs would stand isolated and subject to the ridicule and derision of the dominant power within the union circle.
Intimidation works. At least for a while, then the peasants revolt, carrying torches and pitchforks.

Obama is a trained and certified Junior Community Activist. Agitation is what he knows.
But wouldn’t you agree that it has to be a democratically-elected representative republic? Otherwise, how do you keep from becoming an aristocracy?
Effort to eliminate the secret ballots in union elections is becoming a common move here in CA as well. Look for it happening in your own states!
