My parents dropped out of high school, got married and had me. I turned out OK (I think) and they’re still married.
Ease up a little. I favored Romney too but Sarah is an exciting pick and this isn’t going anywhere that won’t backfire for those willing smut peddlers.
From what I have heard, it was an OPEN secret to those in Alaska. Sarah reminded the McPain team twice about her daughter. McPain and Sarah were upfront with each other and fellow Alaskans knew about it.

You don’t understand what the Dems are doing. They’re saying she should have been on birth control, and that this is what happens when you do abstinence only.
They’re playing a far dirtier and more dangerous game: painting Palin as an extremist by not putting her daughter on birth control.
And frankly, from some of the people I talk to, it’s working.
I often visit DU to see what their strategy is. I was astounded to see DUmmies saying things like, “the daughter is fair game”, “her horrible mom made her a target by running for VP”, “rethuglicans always win elections by slinging mud at our candidates; its only fair to attack the daughter”, ad nauseum. I made a couple of observations: 1) DU really is vile. 2) Some of our fellow Freepers have been guilty of making comments about Chelsea Clinton, Elizabeth Edwards, and other democrat family members that were totally out of line. This attack on Sarah’s daughter will backfire. Let’s keep our standards of discourse higher than DU!
If Sarah Palin can help defeat Poseur & Plugs - she will have guaranteed a better future for her daughter and all other sons & daughters.

This won’t play out into anything. Conservatives aren’t about to hold this against Palin, and you know that liberals aren’t really going to get that worked up over a teen pregnancy, which is one of the few types of pregnancies they occasionally approve of.
A week from now it will be ancient history.
Palin will do fine. Integrity sells.

I agree. There is also a ‘silver lining.’ How many other families facing ‘inconvenient pregnancies’ will Gov. Palin influence in a positive way by her handling of this? Nobody would choose this path for their daughter. But then, people of character have a way of taking lemons and making lemonaide.
