Police use rubber bullets, pepper spray and tear gas to disperse protesters
Protesters attacked delegates, smashed windows, punctured car tires and threw bottles Monday, a violent counterpoint to an otherwise peaceful anti-war march at the Republican National Convention.
Police wielding pepper spray arrested at least 283 people, of which 129 were felonies, 51 gross misdemeanors and 103 misdemeanor arrests.
The trouble happened not far from the Xcel Energy Center convention site, and many of those involved in the more violent protest were clad in black and identified themselves to reporters as anarchists. They wrought havoc by damaging property and setting at least one fire. Most of the trouble was in pockets of a neighborhood near downtown, several blocks from where the convention was taking place.

The delegation . . . numbering approximately 120 people - got off the buses and began to walk through the security perimeter into the Convention Hall when they encountered a large group of RNC protesters who formed a human chain to block the delegation from continuing and shouting epithets at the Nutmeggers.

My question is: How did those protestors manage to be that close to the Convention Center? As I recall, in Denver, the rioters were kept blocks away from the convention. There is no excuse for this happening. The cops are not doing their job.
If your enemies are attacking you physically, its not peaceful.
This is where we are at. The Democrats are prepared to attack Republicans physically. They are prepared to prosecute anyone who disagrees with them, mau-mau and threaten people who disagree with them, and when that doesn't work, they'll set the mobs loose on them.

I always get a kick out of anarchist type bands like "Rage Against The Machine" who use every corporate tool they can to sell their records, while raging against "the man".

It’s likely from the top. Likely due to pressure from the liberal city council to allow the moonbats to get to just about the door of the Xcel Energy Center. I am going to hurl if some liberal judge lets these punks off with the reasoning that they were only exercising their “constitutionally guaranteed right of political free speech”. Time to fly the Texas flag up here.
