Sarah Palin: Deeply Threatening to the Left?
Real Clear Politics ^ | September 2, 2008 | Andrea Tantaros

The moment the McCain camp confirmed it had chosen Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as its choice for VP, conservatives, females and many mothers across the country rejoiced. She brought so many positives that I couldn’t help but wonder how long it would take the left to dig for the negatives.

Shortly after the announcement a friend asked me “when do you think the weird, rural farmer’s daughter rumors will start?

Apparently, not long after.

The Daily Kos (or as I like to call it, The Daily Gross) has stooped to a new low by repackaging a plot line from last season’s “Desperate Housewives” and publishing it as a disgusting hit piece alleging Palin’s special needs son is really her grandson. — And that she pretended to be with child to cover up her teen daughter’s underage pregnancy. Now, we’ve just learned Palin’s teen daughter Bristol is pregnant, debunking this awful rumor, yet still igniting the attacks of angry liberal bloggers.

This could only mean there must be something about Sarah Palin that is deeply threatening to the left, a constituency that has long believed they have cornered the working mother market. Five kids? She should be at home begging Democrats for a handout. A husband in a union? He should be on the picket lines.

Liberals like to pretend they are tolerant and accepting of those who are different but when it comes to anyone not ensconced in their progressive, elitist dogma they mock and attack their lifestyle to inspire hate. But because governor Palin is endearing, authentic–and with this latest revelation–easy to identify with, she invokes panic in the left. Why else would they assail a very popular, promising lady and her children?

The key question here is: what is the extreme left trying to prove?

There is no way on earth that BARRACK HUSSEIN OBAMA isn’t behind the slams and smears against Gov Palin and her daughter. Sure, he stands back and clucks his tongue at such attacks, but think about it. Who profits from damaging the McCain/Palin campaign? BARRACK HUSSEIN OBAMA! You bet!
And it has always been the M.O. of liberals to go for the groin. They hit below the belt, but when they get hit back, they scream like a stuck pig. It’s the nature of liberalism...a part of their self-ordained elitism.

Screw ‘em! I say pull out all the stops, talk publically about Barrack HUSSEIN Obama’s questionable birth certificate, his questionable eligibility to be in a federal office, etc., reasons why his birth certificate has been ‘edited,’ and why it was hidden for so long. What was it he said a couple of months ago? “I’ll release my birth certificate in November.” Say WHAT? Then one turns up...but it has been redacted. Explain that.

Talk about his upbringing in Islam...talk more about the company he chooses to keep...talk about the refusal to put his hand on his heart during the flag salute...talk about his total absense of any kind of service to his country (if, indeed, the USA is his country). Talk about his special deals and consorting with known crooks (one of whom is now in prison). Talk about the immediate raise in pay for the position his wife was given; it soared up to $300,000 a year. Talk about that hospital where she works, a hospital that will not accept the uninsured and/or indigent. (Nice folks, huh?!)

There’s something wrong...something fishy...and a lot of covering up by HUSSEIN and his band of thieves. Air it all. Hold back nothing. Voters have a right...and a need...to know.

She is clearly driving them nuts, because they’re relentlessly attacking her.

She has already grown the GOP party which a few months ago was over 10% behind now less than 4% and shrinking. She holds on they are doomed Biden will be proven corrupt and the whitey tape does exists.

She is so completely driving them crazy...I have never seen them so frantic. They don’t care if what they say is true or not, as long as they can get it out there and have it repeated. The NYT is just as bad..what a terrible excuse for journalism. THEY ARE ALL SCARED STIFF!

They’re so desperate, they’re using Michael Savage’s rant as proof that she is a bad candidate!

When they feel they have to break ALL barriers and go after her 17 yr. old daughter, you BET they’re shaking in their boots over her!

It’s sad that THAT is how I know a Republican is worth their salt - how much do the libs HATE them?

Do they HATE Mrs. Palin!!!! And HOW!!!

My favorite news article today had Obama explaining why he was more qualified than Palin. The best part of it was that he kept saying “she” only did this or that, then compared it with what “we” (he and his campaign staff) did.

He needs a whole support team to just begin to challenge what Palin accomplished! And he compares what Palin did in real life leadership roles with what his team did in a campaign.

Michael Savage’s objections are not based on gossip. He might be wrong, but he is not looking for dirt or spreading crazy gossip.

RNC should be able to investigate and prove where these attacks were launched from and publicize it on national TV.

I think there are 2 main dangers threatening our country for the last several years or more and I don’t know which is worse, the vast left wing conspriacy and/or Islamofascism.

I think we can deal with Islamofascists, but I don’t know if we’re dealing with the leftist working in our own country to destroy us from within.

The left controls most of the media and culture and the Islamofascists are also now working in our own country to destroy us insidiously.

I think studies should be undertaken to understand the leftists mindsets, motivation, psychology and hysterical emotionalism, anger and treason.

I’ve said before and I’ll say again:

Conservative reaction to pick of Biden as VP: largely amused.

Liberal reaction to pick of Palin as VP: extremely angry.

I’d say it was a direct hit.
