ENQURIER RESPONDS TO MCCAIN/PALIN
Drudge ^

Posted on 09/03/2008 4:13:52 PM PDT by cdchik123

"The National Enquirer's coverage of a vicious war within Sarah Palin's extended family includes several newsworthy revelations, including the resulting incredible charge of an affair plus details of family strife when the Governor's daughter revealed her pregnancy. Following our John Edwards' exclusives, our political reporting has obviously proven to be more detail-oriented than the McCain campaign's vetting process. Despite the McCain camp's attempts to control press coverage they find unfavorable, The Enquirer will continue to pursue news on both sides of the political spectrum."

Yes. And notice how they phrase it as an "incredible charge" -- incredible meaning "not credible."

They smell blood. They are holding out for Gov. Palin to have some remarks about her faith and morality in the National audience.

Then they will go to print. Not good.

"The Enquirer will continue to pursue news on both sides of the political spectrum."

This is why the Obammie Boys threw Edwards under the bus with their garbage about Edwards. They could give a ---- about the feelings of Elizabeth Edwards. They were reaching for some type of credibility by "smearing" an irrelevant 'RAT so now they think they are justified in "smearing" Governor Palin. I think I'll wait until the next issue with the story about the torrid affair between Governor Palin, Bigfoot and those alien guys.

I am kinda worried. The Enquirer broke the Edwards story long before the MSM ever picked it up.

ST. PAUL, MINN.) – John McCain’s campaign threatened legal action against the National Enquirer today for running a story about McCain’s running mate, Sarah Palin, allegedly having an affair with her husband’s business partner.

“The smearing of the Palin family must end. The allegations contained on the cover of the National Enquirer insinuating that Gov. Palin had an extramarital affair are categorically false. It is a vicious lie,” said McCain senior adviser Steve Schmidt.

I am too. If it is true though then “We had marital difficulties, we worked on them and are now enjoying a close, loving marriage” might be enough.

Voters knew about Bill Clinton and Jennifer Flowers before they elected him after all!

You are kinda worried...that’s exactly what the liberals want. Doubt on the part of Republicans.

I disagree.

If they had the goods, the MSM would have carried the water for Barry already.

I actually believe they could plan and implement that strategy. It’s mind boggling, but they are capable of such treachery.
