SUPER SURPRISE:
So, you've probably all heard me say there is a surprise in order for all of you "Palin Pingers". Well, in the interest of trying to create a resource that we can all use to help the McCain/Palin campaign I have thrown together a "Palin Pingers" Homepage! At the website you will find archives of these Newswire Issues, a Smear Fighting Resource, and more...
There are so many rumors and smears against Palin being spread by the media, that I feel like I'm swimming in it all. I'm finding it hard to pull together coherent information in order to fight back against these smears in various places online (like YouTube, Yahoo! Answers, and other such websites and forums). With the sheer depth of articles pertaining to Palin and all the various issues related to her here at FReeRepublic, it would be very easy to overlook good information and facts.
I figured I can't be the only one running into this problem, so right now I am working on putting together a "Smear Response" activist's resource where we can keep ourselves informed on the latest attacks, and the TRUTH behind them. I will let you all know when I have the basics in place, and you will all be invited to assist in compiling information on these issues. This will not be like Obama's site, but instead will be a place where activists can come together to discuss specific internet activism projects as well as get the latest information concerning the Left's lies about Mrs. Palin all in one place.

If you would like to take an active role in working on this anti-smear, pro-activism project for Palin, please FReepmail me! I am looking for individuals interested in helping to compile Myth/Fact FAQs, as well as looking for people interested in scouring blogs for interesting and/or important news in the blogosphere as I will be concentrating on things here at FR, putting together this list everyday, and just generally keeping an eye on things. I've got a lot of great ideas of ways we can help the McCain/Palin campaign online, but I'll need help to pull some of it off! LOL Besides, it never hurts to have more people brainstorming on ways we can support the campaign through the internet, and in our local areas.

I see you moved this out of News/Activism & Political News, which of course is fine... But, I do have a question: Is there a better, more appropriate section you would like me to post these Newswire Issues in?
Maybe in GOP Club, or such... It’s not like these are Vanity Posts, or Questions, so I don’t understand why it was moved to the “Your Opinion/Questions” section.
The reason I ask is this: I would just like to make sure people see these, as I’m putting together resources for FReepers to use in their Internet Activism for Sarah Palin & the McCain/Palin campaign (not “official” of course...). It’s so hard to wade through the thousands of articles that are posted on FR each day to search for hard facts an info. that we can all use to refute some of the slanderous lies coming out about Mrs. Palin. That’s why I have put together this ping list, and have taken my time, and used part of my personal web space/bandwidth to try to organize stuff for everyone...
Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me. I don’t want to tick you all off... I just don’t understand why this was moved where it was... :-)

I just spoke to my dad today. He is in Woodstock Va, a small town founded in the early 1700’s filled with people who love America. I asked him about the general sentiment of Bristol’s unexpected pregnancy in my home town. He said that people really think that it is personal and that the media should back off.
He added that a minister of a local church attacked Bush on the war from the pulpit and suffered the wrath of church members in the parking lot. Those folk who had sons in Iraq really let him have it.

Yes, I can’t wait to hear her speech and I know she’s gonna be great. From the released snippets of her speech that I’ve read, it sounds REALLY good. All depends on her delivery. I hope she’s not one prone to butterflies in the tummy.
Me, my mouth starts drying out at the very thought of public speaking. I forget how to pronounce simple words, and I hurry too fast. But, Sarah is a pro now. I’m still praying for her spirit to be calm and for her to be full of confidence. She’ll sure feel a lot of love in that room.

Sounds really good. You know, if these smears against Sarah weren’t so disgusting I might be inclined to merely laugh about it all. The media is hitting her so hard (on behalf of their Obamessiah) that they are going to end up turning people towards her instead of against her, IMHO. Like your father pointed out — this is a personal matter, something to be handled by the family, and by Bristol and her fiance Levi themselves. This is not something that should be splashed across the pages of every newspaper from sea to shining sea!
It’s also good to hear that your father’s community are not people to shrink from standing up for what’s right (with that minister). I think Washington, AND the Media are COMPLETELY out of touch with the average American. One person who is NOT out-of-touch?? Sarah Palin. She’s probably the most “real” politician I have ever seen in my life...
