What the media will now do to Palin.
By Christopher Cook

The disgusting, savage onslaught that the Democrats and the media unleashed against Sarah Palin, her children, and her husband will, as has been said by many, go down as one of the more disgusting episodes in American political history.

And until the media, Hollywood, and academia are done revising history so that it never happened—that should take about 15 years or so—it will be remembered, and it will do damage to the press.

So how do they recover? How do they accomplish their mission in this environment?

They hate Sarah Palin with a burning passion, but they know they cannot continue attacking her children. There is already a backlash, and it would get a lot worse and more general if they were to continue.

She totally shut their calumnious, hate-filled mouths last night, with her historic and amazing speech. There's no way they can continue their assault so openly.

So how do they harm her without doing so in such a full-throated onslaught? How do they attempt to tarnish her in the eyes of the American people...

This was the treatment of Robert Bork, Clarence Thomas, Ken Starr, and Linda Tripp combined and condensed into a shorter period.

While I detest Cankles I would feel a lot better about her in the WH because she is a bitch. Obama lacks the fortitude to kick ass when needed and you cannot be CIC without that trait.

Just a hint might come in Oliphant's political cartoon today.

Until their messiah came along and drove them into a bizarre fugue state of religious ecstasy, the press loved Hillary Clinton. Senator Clinton is an undeniably strong women. However, she exudes neither motherliness nor sex appeal.

That's a double-tap, I think.

Well, that’s somewhere beyond disgusting. Also, it’s vintage Oliphant, so I guess I shouldn’t be surprised.

Every time she narrowed her eyes and flashed that little grin during her speech last night, I was a conquered man. A stammering fool.

The “bee-atch” tag won’t stick because she has love in her eyes, not the empty, soul-less stare of Hillary or the sneering visage of Michelle...

"Men will also feel a primal urge to protect her, and though she clearly can take care of herself, men will feel the urge nonetheless."

I know that feeling well.

Oliphant's cartoon is the libs' view of who Sarah is: a gun totin' backwoods mama with unruly children!

Oliphant lives in his own separate world.

His "caricature" bears no resemblance to the woman we saw yesterday.

HA! Wow, who was it the other day who talked about the naricissistic hysteria of the media and the left?

Oliphant et al are going to serve up this election to us on a silver platter. The knife is still in their gut from last night and they still don’t realize they’re bleeding to death.

It isn't Sarah they hate. Its us. Its Sarah this week. It'll be someone else next week. But its really us they hate.

When I see the oliphant cartoon all I can think is, I'd love to put Todd Palin, this cartoon, and the Oliphant POC in a room together for 15 minutes.

One of the monikers I have seen thrown around by Palin bashers is “Ididabroad.” I actually like that one.

I looked up “Media Bias” in the dictionary, and found that Oliphant cartoon as the exemplar. The cartoon may be the single best tool against the biased media ever published.

It’s so clearly and outrageously “over the top,” it’s also a terrific argument aimed squarely at middle America the makes it abundantly clear why they should vote for McCain/Palin.

That is exactly right. The real question is how do we fight back? They have been waging total war on us for decades, but in an effort to avoid being as hateful as they, we do not wage total war back. How do we keep our goodness and yet fight back the way we need to?

Oliphant’s cartoon has no humor to it at all. It’s really offensive. I mean, REALLY offensive. Humor has to have some basis in reality. No connection here.

Man, that is a TERRIBLE political cartoon. Even for a reader on the left, what the heck is funny about it? It’s just a rant with some bad pictures - not a drop of humor.

That’s a “boy, that’s stupid” “heh”, not a “boy, that’s funny” “heh”.

SHHHHHH! Don’t tell them that they are rapidly working themselves out of jobs as their rating fall and newsrooms downsize. If they keep this up soon they will have to go back home to Nowhereville USA where they will have to live among us hicks again who will never stop pointing and laughing at them!
