Breaking! Palin Power: Fresh Face Now More Popular Than Obama, McCain
Rasmussen ^ | Friday, September 05, 2008

Posted on 09/05/2008 8:14:14 AM PDT by ETL

A week ago, most Americans had never heard of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin. Now, following a Vice Presidential acceptance speech viewed live by more than 40 million people, Palin is viewed favorably by 58% of American voters. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 37% hold an unfavorable view of the self-described hockey mom.

The figures include 40% with a Very Favorable opinion of Palin and 18% with a Very Unfavorable view (full demographic crosstabs are available for Premium Members). Before her acceptance speech, Palin was viewed favorably by 52%. A week ago, 67% had never heard of her.

The new data also shows significant increases in the number who say McCain made the right choice and the number who say Palin is ready to be President. Generally, John McCain’s choice of Palin earns slightly better reviews than Barack Obama’s choice of Joe Biden.

Perhaps most stunning is the fact that Palin’s favorable ratings are now a point higher than either man at the top of the Presidential tickets this year. As of Friday morning, Obama and McCain are each viewed favorably by 57% of voters. Biden is viewed favorably by 48%.

Sarah already has Reagan-like numbers. LOL

America never rejected conservatism. It was the Republican party that rejected conservatism.

The Reagan Democrats have been praying and waiting for a real leader to come along. and here she is. It is Sarah.

But, but, but, Kim Severson of New York Times fame doesn’t see it that way.

Two articles today by her. The first, titled “They Raise Children, Pray, and Rally Around a Running Mate” informs us that local people knew her, learned science from her father (a teacher), played basketball, was a beauty queen and went to a bible church. “So, when Ms. Palin, then a young mother, ran for the City Council in 1992, of course they voted for her.”

Interesting “reporting.”

In the second article, titled “In Wasilla, Alaska, Friends of Palin Tune In to the Best Show in Town” Severson writes, “...large parts of the speech were clearly not hers. And, she usually did not lean forward like that when she made a point. But that pursed lip thing? Where he lower jaw juts out a little when she is looking tough?”

Very fine “journalism.” The NY Times should simply move Maureen Dowd from the opinion section to the “news” section, because the Times can’t distinguish reporting from editorializing when it comes to politics. Disgusting.

Maybe I missed it, but I never saw the Times comment on The One’s raised jaw look-down upon his subjects, while gesturing confidently with his arms extended.

What a damned joke the Times political reporting is. As bad as MSNBC, the Obama Channel.

Remember the front page of the “US Magazine” featuring Sarah?

Just announced on FOX News that 10,000 people just cancelled their subscriptions.

Hee-hee

I’m crossing my fingers, hoping this translates to a surge in the polls for the McCain/Palin ticket.

The Obama ticket reminds me of the popular new dance/night club that loses business when the newer/hotter club opens across the street. Their first reaction will be to talk bad about the people who go to the new club. Then in desperation they will eliminate the cover charge and offer nickel beers. I predict by Nov 4 Club Obama will be out of business.

When you base your whole future on image and youth, what are you going to do when someone younger, prettier and with substance shows up?

This is the first “poll” result I accept as a good sign. Talk about an “exit” poll. When folks vote with their feet, I think we can say we’ve got our hands “on the wheel” with Mrs. McCain and the Senator, Mrs. and Mr. Palin.

“America never rejected conservatism. It was the Republican party that rejected conservatism.”

Now that would be a great campaign slogan.

Victor Davis Hanson sums up the insanity, we are seeing from the Obama team and Obama mediots:

"If the post-Speech reaction of the talking heads at CNN, PBS and MSBNC, or the op-ed ravings of Gloria Steinem, Maureen Dowd, Eleanor Clift or Sally Quinn are any indication, the Secret Service better enlist the Alaskan National Guard for help ensuring the Alaskan Governor’s safety.

"A beautiful, confident, articulate, independent, accomplished—and conservative—woman apparently has enraged Team Obama, the mainstream media, and the entire American intelligentsia, as if they were collectively hit by a cruise missile aimed from Middle America.

When Palin talks about her present life it sounds as authentic as Biden’s showy populism came off as false. Enraged feminists are apparently the gatekeepers for less well-educated American women, who are supposed to have 0-1.5 children not 5! Their husbands must be professors, lawyers, CEOs, editors—not snowmobile champions, union members, oil workers, and fishermen—or, worse, all in one! And unlike a Pelosi, Quinn, or Clinton, Palin, God forbid, did not rely on a powerful, wealthy husband or father to energize her career. Worse still, she took no women’s studies class, never attended the Ivy League, and shoots moose. The danger is not just that Sarah Palin could win McCain the election, but she could expose the entire flimsy structure of doctrinaire liberalism as the hypocrisy—and chauvinism—it has become."

Missing from this great photo: Sarah’s son, who will be on active duty soon. Three of John McCain's sons, have have carried on the family military tradition, with Doug McCain serving as a Navy pilot, now out of the Navy, Jack McCain soon to graduate from the Naval Academy, and Jimmy McCain enlisting in the Marines at the age of 17. The latter returned home safely from his seven-month tour of duty in Iraq in February 2008

Looks at the article’s facts about Palin’s male vs femaile numbers.

Sure, she’s helped with the women’s vote, but that’s nothing compared to the men she’s brought on board.

But Fox news is reporting that Oprah is balking at putting Gov Sarah Palin on her show. Funny that one of the top rated TV female oriented talk shows wouldn’t want to put on one the countries most popular females. Why because she is a republican white female that may upstage even Oprah herself.

Sounds a little racist to me!

They need to get hammered just like US Rag

Cool. The whole election landscape has changed. Instead of all Obama, all the time, we’ll get to see Sarrahcuda and win all those soccer moms.

.

.

Here’s how I’ve been bumping Palin/Obama threads. Sung to the tune of “Oh! Susanna, don’t you cry for me.” .... “Oh, no Bama, please don’t lie to me... for I’m off to Free Republic with a laptop on my knee.”

I come from Minnesota with my laptop on my knee; | I’m goin’ to Free Republic my true love for to see. | It rained all night the day I left, | the weather it was dry; | The sun so hot I froze to death, | Obama don’t you lie. | | Oh! No Bama, don’t you lie to me; | I come from Minnesota, with my laptop on my knee.

I had a dream the other night, | When everything was still; | I thought I saw Obama dear, | A-coming for The Hill. | The smearing lie was in Duluth, | The tear was in his eye, | Said I, I’m coming for the truth | Obama don’t you lie. | | Oh! No Bama, don’t you lie to me; | I’m off to Free Republic, | with my laptop on my knee.

I fight in my pajamas, | It’s plain for all to see. | I aim to be the next Buckhead; | The media all hate me. | I fell in love with Sarah | When my sister bit a moose. | The Guvnor’s family ate it up | And then they set it loose. | | Oh! No Bama, don’t you lie to me; | I’m off to Free Republic, | with my laptop on my knee.

She loves her sons, she likes her guns, | and Triggernometry. | The media will jump the shark | When Juan makes history. | Well, JimRob knows she’ll pave the trolls | So controversially, | And Berg will knock Obama down | With friends of Hillary. | | Oh! No Bama, don’t you lie to me; | I’m off to Free Republic with a laptop on my knee.

I soon will be in Hawaii, | And then I’ll look all ‘round, | And when I find his birth record, | I’ll fall upon the ground. | But if I do not find it, | This Freeper’ll surely die, | And when I’m dead and buried, | Obama don’t you lie. | | Oh! No Bama, don’t you cry for me; | I’m off to Free Republic with a laptop on my knee.

Yeah, plus the entire staff of that steaming pile of excrement on the west side of Manhattan known as The New York Times.
