Teditorial: Sarah Palin Is My Girl
tednugent.com ^ | Ted Nugent

Posted on 09/05/2008 8:54:23 PM PDT by Hugin

With grave suspicion and reservations, I nonetheless rejoice that the fading embers of conservatism may have indeed caught fire once more. That fireball is Gov.Sarah Palin of Alaska, I pray the next Vice President of the United States. Now I know why I have seen no one with any guts in the Republican Party in so long: the governor of Alaska has them all. Her speech last night was clearly a grand slam out-of-the-park home run. America, we have liftoff!

By selecting Gov. Palin to be his running mate, Sen. McCain has finally electrified the conservative base -- the very base he desperately needs to defeat Sen.Obama in November. I, for one, am greatly relieved and inspired by her message, delivery, confidence, poise, class and grace.

To borrow a relative quote from Michelle Obama, with the selection of Gov. Palin, it's the first time in quite some time that I'm proud of the Republican Party.

Saw him on Glenn Beck tonight, Mr. Nugent was great! Really appreciated his bluntness and points of view.

Glad The Nuge is from my state. Pity we couldn’t keep him.

"We need fewer lawyers in Washington. Lawyers have created a masturbatory legal system by raping our justice system. It's refreshing to see that neither Sen. McCain nor Gov. Palin is a lawyer."

Dems ticket is always lawyers... this time ours our true heroes, hot chicks with guns, beer and BBQ!

In addition to her executive experience, and based on unbiased, genuine research, Gov. Palin concludes that global warming is a fraud, supports drilling for oil in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, hunts and fishes, and is a member of the National Rifle Association. What's not to like?

Preach on Nuge! Preach on!

Wow, the GOP needs to hammer the rats with that "outsiders vs. lawyers" theme. It's a real winner!

Nugent mentions his interest in running for Gov of Michigan (Glenn Beck show tonight). No doubt, Palin is a dream VP for him especially because of the hunting interest, but he really doesn’t talk about that in his editorial. Ted talks big picture now more then in years past. Haven’t heard him on Hannity in a long time. I wonder if he’s still friendly with Sean.

My favorite nugget:

Those pundits and Fedzilla fanatics who proclaim Gov.Palin has no experience to run the country are the very punks who want to continue to feed Fedzilla. They advocate taking more of our paychecks, wasting more of hard earned money, and not being held accountable. I would like to buy these Fedzilla punks a one-way ticket on the express train to Hell.

But I have to disagree slightly-- I'd prefer to just put them in a slow boxcar there.

From Article:"America needs more outsiders in Washington, D.C. now more than ever. We need more tough, standup hockey moms like Governor Sarah Palin. We need more ordinary Americans to springboard from small city councils to the halls of congress and beyond. We need welders, cops, teachers, ditch diggers, business people, construction workers, secretaries, auto mechanics, and guitar slingers to come to Washington, D.C. and replant the good old "We the People" tree."

100% RIGHT!!! I hear her defenders on radio and TV defend her experience, and thats fine, but having an ordinary person with strong values, common sense, courage and love of Country is what we need! Of all her defenders, TED SAID IT BEST!

That pic says it all. She has a plain, simple wedding band on her finger not a big gaudy stone. She inst interested in impressing anyone just get the job done. I loved what Nugent had to say, he’s 100% correct on all points...except his last one. He said HE is SAEAHS biggest fan....get in line Nuge.

Note: The slogan was originally posted to FR by Renfield. Islander7 created the graphic. I've merely taken the initiative in publicizing it. It's so good, it may well be the "Sore/Loserman" of the 2008 election.

If you want change in Washington D.C.

I mean you really want change.

Do you vote for the Fighter Pilot and the mother of 5?

Or do you vote for the two Lawyers?

Isn't this the whole point that Andrew Jackson was making 180 years ago? The democrats have strayed a bit from that ideal in the intervening years.

Better yet, the GOP should stress that it’s Pres. and Vice Pres. candidates are a soldier who “did his job” and a “Mom” who got into politics “for her kids”, while the Dems’ candidates are both... lawyers. WHO is more likely to actually “be in touch with” the average person?

I saw the interview, and Ted said about Palin’s convention speech, “Stakes are high and so am I, it’s in the air toni-i-ight. I see Palin there with her cheshire grin, I got my eyes on her. She shakes her tailfeathers in my face, and there’s no tellin’ what I’ll do. Well looky here, you sweet young thing, the magic’s in my hands...”

He went on to get a little dirty, so I’ll stop him there.

Jackson has nothing in common with modern Democrats. They harken back to the Federalists, who are often wrongly associated with modern Republicans (just because Adams was a conservative does not mean all Federalists were). Probably because Lincoln et al. were updated Federalists. Trust me, modern Republicans are not the party of Lincoln (though we like to use his names for the Emancipation thing).

I think we can safely say that ALL of the founders were much more conservative than ALL of the Democrats and sadly than most of the Republicans of today's world (and that includes McCain).

They actually put their country's best interest above their own.
