John McCain’s presidential campaign prepared to chastise Democrats Saturday over leaving behind piles of miniature American flags after Barack Obama’s nomination acceptance speech last Thursday in Denver.
the flags were recovered from Invesco Field after the Democrats concluded their convention there, and they are going to be used as part of the warm-up ceremonies before McCain takes the stage for the rally.
a vendor at Invesco Field found the flags, which were going to be thrown out, and turned them over to the McCain campaign.
Veterans in Colorado Springs are expected to distribute the flags to the audience at the rally.

I have a question for some patriots here. I have a flag that I used to fly off the side of my home, but it is now faded and torn, and I am keeping it in my garage. How does one properly dispose of it?

I’d check with the local VFW or American Legion. They typically have flag disposal cermonies a once or twice a year

Excess inventory like this is sold off all the time. Any “dollar store” could have sold them off in a heartbeat.

Check with a local Boy Scout troop in your area. They have ceremonies to properly dispose of worn flags. They will take care of it for you.
you can take it to your local vfw post and they will Properly dispose of flag.Great Story they should make a commerical with that ,no lapel pin,no hand on hear during pledge,and flag removed from the chosen ones plane.GIVE EM HELL JOHN!

...have NO use for our great country's traditions, our culture, our way of life, and the flag that represents these.
They are the opposite and reciprocal of "patriotic", which is why they bristle so when we question their patriotism.
I dare say McCain’s crew lurks FR. This story showed up on FR right after the DNC.
