COLORADO SPRINGS — In just the second day of campaigning together, Republican Presidential nominee John McCain and his running mate, Sarah Palin, gave a command performance of their convention week speeches to a crowd of more than 10,000 here.

McCain and Palin hit popular notes from their big-stage speeches by promising to rein in government spending, lead America to energy independence and win the war in Iraq.

"There's no place more appropriate than here in Colorado Springs, with all the great service of people from here, to tell you this: We are winning in Iraq," McCain said, drawing some of the biggest cheers of his 15-minute speech.

Who broke Cindy’s hand?

I don't think anyone 'broke' her hand.

She has a weakness in her wrist, and all this hand shaking, is stressing it out.

I have a question of the board:

All due respect to our next President, John McCain, I note in the photos that he seems to have trouble raising his arms a little. Is that because of what he went thru during the Vietnam War? It was what I thought.

God Bless John McCain and Sarah Palin and their families.

She's been getting some excellent press...

Where's our Sarah Palin?

"Indeed, we see Sarah Palin as nothing less than a true feminist heroine — a woman who’s lived the elusive supermom "dream of combining power and privilege with a large, loving family. In a more thoughtful age, feminists would have adopted her as a great success story. But because she fights on the wrong side of the culture wars — which is to say, the one that values unborn children and human freedom — today’s left calls her a “hillbilly” and turns up its nose."

~~~
I'm considering doing something to promote Sarah here in Canada.
She is a great role model as a woman, a mom, a wife and a conservative.
Yesterday I registered the domains...canadalovessarah.ca and .com
If and when I can tear myself off FR,
I'm going to get a start on designing the site.
My pleasure.
I was at work, and missed part of it, but I saw them come and go.
The media always tries to mislead.
Colorado is going to be a key state and I expect McCain and Palin to spend plenty of time there before Election Day. Along with Nevada and New Mexico, Colorado is part of the Western battleground states that will decide the election. Polling from August shows a very tight race, which is a positive for McCain since earlier polling had consistently shown him behind.
Yes - you’re right. Another thread a person posted noticed how Sarah, when she was standing near McCain, kept her arms lower than his while waving. Not sure if that was natural respect or a good tip by her handlers. I’ll have to watch for that.
Sarah just rocks! She is resonating with so many people, and I dont think its the Hockeymom stuff in the bulk of it.
Its just that this Gal IS The American dream and she is a getter done pioneer.
Sarah Palin is the very spirit of freedom.
Best wishes with those websites. O am pushing Sarah on Shortwave radio were I can to get international attention
Note to McCain team -
Turn your airplane trips into Whistle-Stops.
Look for municipal and regional airports that will handle your aircraft.
Set up a simple platform like you did at the Springs in Colorado.
Allow a lot of space for people to surround you.
Make as many whistle-stops a day as possible.
Don't charge for admission and require tickets like Obama.
Let the real people of America come and see those on the ticket.
"But unlike Barack Obama's campaign, McCain's doesn't know who any of them are. From the outset of his candidacy, Obama has required attendees to pre-register for tickets to his events, an innovation in data collection that has given the campaign reams of new information on potential supporters that can be used for later contact and persuasion."
I believe in Hanoi Hilton they tied his arms behind his back and then tied his back arms to a pulley and raised him over and over.
Yes, that's correct. His broken arms were allowed to heal without ever being properly set, and he cannot raise his hands above his head.
It's documented in Wikipedia, and is sourced to an article in Vanity Fair.
