Actually, it’s correct either way.

The left-wing jobs and the anti-war crowd have taken over the Libertarian Party.

Ron Paul is their tool to make mischief at this point in the game.

My own localized evidence of the leftie takeover is that a leftist with National Lawyers Guild membership and Green Party candidacies in her past was put up as the Libertarian candidate for Attorney General in Pennsylvania.

That, or to announce that he is STILL running for president.

Yeah, but my way leaves open the possibility of having 100 Ron Paul’s in Congress.

He’s not Presidential material, but our country would be well served with more people like him in office.

Every day that legislators meet, whether on the federal or state level, you and I lose more freedom.

I like Dr. No.

Even better, they should just all go on vacation or long term disability and leave everyone alone.

BTW, there is no evidence that the basis for this thread is even true.

seriously, would any Republicans vote for this lunatic?   I would imagine he'd steal more votes from Hussein.

Eric, I grudgingly like the guy for many reasons but his foreign policy views are very naive. He won't get enough votes to have a major effect - IMHO.

Ron Paul was right on September 10, 2001.

He's been wrong ever since.

And after McCain, the GOP, and the media treated him so nicely. For shame. </s>

This is just a rumor started by the foil industry to boost sales.

IMHO, I think as conservatives we are all on the same page. The job of our Government is to protect our liberties at home and protect us from enemies abroad.

It’s really not very complicated.

Ron Paul has it right on the liberties part...it’s the part about him not protecting me and my family from getting blown to bits by some crazed jihadist that is the deal breaker.

Yep, round up the usual suspects of liberal states. The rest of the country will tell the elitists what they can do with their chardonnay.

My Impression was there were more Democrats and Anarchists supporting Ron Paul than Republicans.

Are we sure that this will be a negative impact to John McCain’s Ticket?

How will this poll?

We are.

I was a "small l" libertarian on 9/10/2001.

I have since become more precise and call myself an Objectivist.....even if I do have to explain myself more often. (though I would hope my screen name gives me away)

If RonPaul fell in the woods and no one was there would he make a sound?

[No]

This might cause an unexpected problem for them. Most states do not allow a candidate to run on more than one line. (Only New York and I believe 2 others allow it.) What do they do in the states where Baldwin and Barr both have ballot access? Which party steps aside? (Or does Keyes swoop in and grab some ballot psitions?)

BTW, two points:

The Montana Constitution Party is not affiliated with the national Constitution Party.

Although Texas allows a person to run for two offices at once(LBJ, Bentsen), I don’t believe it permits someone to run for them on different parties. Isn’t Paul running for re-election to the House as a Republican?

Who would be the VP candidate?

In 1896, Ibelieve it was, Wiliam Jennings Bryan ran for President on the Democrat ticket and the People’s Party ticket — with different running mates.

I always wonderd what would have happened if he had won but his vote had been split in such a way that neither of his VP running mates got a majority.

You can say what you want about Ron Paul (who is a very good Congressman, BTW), but that is an entirely unfair accusation to make against Mr. Peroutka. I bet he doesn’t even know that he’s on the ballot.

Remember, courts hve ruled more than once that the eectors (or candidates for elector) are the legal parties-in-interest. if you can get a slate of electors to sign up to be on your line who are pledged to Bozo the Clown and Tweety Bird, there is nothing either of them could do about it even if they were not fictional characters.
