My theory is that the MSM has suffered severe backlash over their scandal-mongering with Sarah. They see how this backlash has engendered support for Sarah and hurt their boy (Obama) in the recent polling and they are trying desperately to rid themselves of the stain.
So they will put out this puff piece and try to contain the damage.
Don’t like this at all. If they are desperate, Hillary could be given the ticket with Obama claiming illness. It is absolutely conceivable when they get into a mindset that says “we’re going to lose anyway, there’s nothing to lose with this risk.”
That’s gonna leave a mark.
TEN points>? Wow...Sarah-cuda!
Agree!.... I saw the crowd in New Mexico...my goodness.
Old, young, white, hispanic and yes even a few blacks!
You are absolutly right...Republicans needed energy....Boy oh Boy are they energized...standing in line with flags....
I saw a republican man with shorts, black socks and baseball hat...you know the dorky Republican... He was sooooo happy and looked like a winner.
He actually said "my Muslim faith" in an interview with ABC's This Week.
He's coming unglued.
Yep, but this time around maybe the folks have had enough and will put their boot into the lefty trash bags.
Even though it's just a poll...
Today's Rasmussen rolling 3 day average says:
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday, September 7, shows the race for the White House is tied.In the first national polling results based entirely on interviews conducted after Sarah Palins acceptance speech, Barack Obama gets 46% of the vote and so does John McCain. When "leaners" are included, its all even at 48%.
Gallup’s Likely Voter screen may take the “Bradley effect” into account.
As an ex-Californio, now firmly ensconced in North Texas, you don't know how good that sounds to me.

“Yes, it is time for Joe to get that medical check up, where he discovers he’s developed some unforseen medical condition that will require him to drop out.”
The Rat’s favorite dance is “The Torricelli”. But will Hillary agree to participate? At this point she’d probably make Obama grovel.
The exact quote is, "In the new poll, taken Friday through Sunday, McCain leads Obama by 54%-44% among those seen as most likely to vote."
Frankly, especially considering the ACORN and youth messiah factors, I'm more 'comfortable' with the 4 point lead for McCain at this moment.
I am still worried about a few of things:
1. The Democrats have registered many new voters during their primary who will not show up in these polls.
2. That John McCain will “peak too soon” and his lead will erode too far by election day.
3. As we well know, it’s all about the Electoral College, not the popular vote (although it is usually not an issue, it can certainly become one, can’t it?)
Woohoo! As hard as it is to imagine, this is going to get even uglier now.
Not Pawlwnty, it was Romney and he was in the high 60s.
Two factors to that: The 'Rats were during the last week of summer when many were on vacation, while the 'Pubs occurred AFTER their return. Yes, they might have been focused a bit more on schools, but after a day running around schools and buying school supplies, the evening was spent listening and reflecting on the likes of Rudy, Mitt, Huck, Cindy... and PALIN and McCAIN.
