Always weary of polls but if its 54 to 44 among likely voters that is devastating! I expect if the internals from the obama campaign back this up, than the media will drop the gloves and I expect There will be Headlines spouting Sarah Palins hatred for fluffy bunnies.

Yes, it is time for Joe to get that medical check up, where he discovers he's developed some unforseen medical condition that will require him to drop out.

Maybe this is why Biden looked so bad on Meet the Press.

You’re right. The debates are important. I remember that Kerry schooled Bush in one of those debates and it made a difference.

On the one hand, this poll seems strange because there is such a big gap between RV and LV (50-46 RV and 54-44 LV), and as we know, convention bounces usually fade.

On the other hand, this was a Fri-Sun poll, so it may have had a slight Dem weekend tint on that basis. Also, Obama’s bump did not max out till the Tuesday after his convention, so McCain’s bump may not even have maxed out yet.

Interesting times. Let’s carefully watch the Obama camp for signs of panic this week.

MSM Headline: Racism rears it’s ugly head in America as polls show McCain leading Obama.

As much as I wish it were true, I don’t.

1. MSM wants to say Obama is closing (so watch the lead to close)
2. The Only Poll that matters is Tuesday in November
3. My gut just tells me its too good to be true. The internals would be interesting.

Oh, I don’t think the Bradley effect is going to be that big. I read somewhere that it is declining with time (in other words, it was more of a factor in the 80s and 90s).

We definitely shouldn’t count on it!

I see 50-44 among registered voters. I guess my eyes are old.

Uh-oh.

The D-MSM is going to freak.

In just registered voters it states McCain over Obama 50%-46%".

Then there is the following, "The convention bounce has helped not only McCain but also attitudes toward Republican congressional candidates and the GOP in general.

Everyone put your helmets on. Fire from the opposition is imminent. LOL

They hit the magic 50% mark, they destroy Obama in likely voters and the Democrat Tsunami toward the GIO in general predicted may have turned into a lighter rain.

And, with the Republican convention being held so late this time, the Palin enthusiasm should carry McCain over the finish line in Nov.

We just have to keep obama talking. This hasn’t been a good weekend for him. I can’t wait for Monday’s papers to fill in the rest of the country.

His comments about he doesn’t have the votes to take away our guns since that’s the only reason he can’t. Well, the second reason.

His “Muslim Faith”.

Claiming to register for the draft when registration didn’t exist at the time.
