MOSCOW (Reuters) – Prosecutors in Russia want to ban the award-winning satirical U.S. cartoon South Park, calling the series "extremist" after receiving viewer complaints, a spokeswoman said on Monday.
South Park, a cartoon aimed at adults and featuring a group of nine-year olds in a Colorado ski town, has courted controversy from its 1997 debut, parodying celebrities, politicians, religion, gay marriage and Saddam Hussein.

Speaking of extreme cartoon....we tuned in to FAMILY GUY last night...I know this show is over the top, but last night it was beyond anything I’ve seen on network TV. It’s dirty, it’s outrageous and it’s NOT FOR PRIMETIME. But there it is. Does anyone even care about decency anymore?
Don´t ever, EVER compare South Park to Family Guy..
South Park is nothing like Family Guy. When South Park makes jokes they inherit to a story. Deep situational and emotional jokes based on what is relevant, and have a point. Not just one random, interchangeable joke after another.
You should help stop Family Guy. It is simple television economics, Hildy. All it takes is to kill a show forever: you get one episode pulled. If we can convince the network pull this episode for the sake family values, the the Catholics can demand a show they don´t like pulled. And then people with disabilities can demand another episode pulled. And so on, and so on. Until Family Guy is no more. It´s exactly what happened to the Wernon Shirley.
