McCain has closed the gap even among Left-Leaning RV polls.
McCain now leads in all LV polls, some significantly.
Many state polls coming out thsi week (Fox, Rasmussen).

I can hardly wait for the state poll updates.
KEEP UP THE PRESSURE...The Obami campaign needs to be exposed for the marxist, flip-flopping, community organizing campaign that it is.
Eagerly looking forward to the state polling as well.
“I can hardly wait for the state poll updates.”
I’m not sure I can take so much good news! ;-)
And it worries me that Obama has too much time left to do something like drop Biden for Hillary. Yikes!
Its CHRISTMAS IN SEPTEMBER!
Find ways to contribute to the effort because:
All Bounces Fade.
I’m thinking of investing in some strong rope for when the bounce fades and the race becomes very close again. Not for me, but for some of our more manic depressive posters. :-)
It would be an unmitigated disaster for Obama. He's stuck with Mr. Uncongeniality for the whole pagent.
Two things:
First, I hope McCain continues to campaign like he’s behind by 1%.
Second, I would love to see McCain-Palin take their campaign to Illinois and Delaware. Not that they will win either state, but because it would be extremely symbolic.
Imagine a huge rally in Schaumburg, Illinois. Followed by a smaller one in Dover, Del.
Who is to say Mc/Palin couldn’t win Illinois or Delaware ;-)
I say it. I used to live in Chicago, and that is definitely Obama country.
But it sure would be fun to see Obama have to defend his home turf.
At the same time, I don’t see Obama-Biden campaigning much in Arizona or Alaska. I think the symbolism of a big GOP rally near Chicago, would be delicious.
And it would continue to keep Nobama playing defense.
there is precedent in that. mccain campaigned in MA during the primaries even though it was romney’s turf
I cannot wait until the new state polls come out.
Just keep in mind that depending on when the polls were conducted, they could paint a misleadingly gloomy picture for McCain.
Only polls conducted entirely after both conventions should be taken seriously, and even at that, we probably need to wait another week or so to make sure we are getting good data.
Rush was talking about that the other day (Friday?) and he said that the only really accurate polls will be out a week before election day, as the various polling agencies will want their final numbers to be as accurate as possible so they can maintain their "respectability" for the next election cycle.
