Since February I have been saying that Barack Obama would get crushed in this year’s presidential election. … The signs of trouble for the Democrats have always been there…
….Today it is no longer “wishful thinking” or “proof you have been smoking something” to say John McCain will crush Barack Obama.
..here are the numbers that say it is over..
To win Obama must get these numbers with these groups:
..women, he needs at least plus 7. He is down 12.
White males needs at least 36%. If he gets 30% he will be lucky
Catholics: needs 50%. He is down 59/36.
Evangelicals: needs 71%. He is running against an Evangelical and has nothing to offer these Christian voters.
Jewish vote: needs 80%. He is at 57%.
Black vote: needs 95%. Zogby says he has “lost support” among Black voters.
Hispanic vote: needs 65%. The only polls available show he is at 65% so that won’t help, it will only slow the bleeding.
Democrat base support: needs 92%. He is at 86%.
Independents: needs 49%. He is losing 52/37.
This one is over. On Monday September 29, 2008 at about 5 PM when the last weekend polls come in, the numbers will spell doom for the Democrats. On September 30, 2008 the McCain Palin campaign must plan on switching gears and start asking for votes to give them a Republican Congress. It could keep the margin down and keep us safe from the Democrats for another two years.
..there will only be four elected Democrats who will be happy on Nov. 5, the Clintons, George McGovern and Walter Mondale because Barack Obama will take them off the hook as having taken the worse beatings in history
What about the dead people count?
Don’t they need like 45% of the dead people to cast votes for them?
Of course then you have the criminal’s vote, the illegal immigrant’s vote, the homeless (multiple) vote, am I missing anyone?

This article made my morning so far. Let’s all keep in mind the “Bradley effect,” where a lot of well-intentioned white people tell pollsters they’ll for the “historic” candidate, but once they get into the veiled booth, they’ll pull to the Right. There may be some election night shocks for Al’ Baraq (PBUH). I sure hope so.
If someone wins 54% of popular vote, I don’t think there is any way he can lose the EV.

My guess is from the beginning that McCain would have caught up - as voters start to tune in after election day they start to become aware. Palin just intensified everything.
I’m still not sure she’s aware for all of the “surge”. I think people heard McCain was “a war hero” but so was Kerry. I think she got people to tune it, and what they heard was McCains TRUE heroism story and his compelling love for the country. While O is just glitz.
And remember Hillary is waiting in the wings.

Remember the black woman at the DNC that said "Would you put a harvard grad as CEO of a corporation? NO WAY". A black female dem and she had that much wisdom!!! There's still hope for this country.

I disagree. I think the Black turnout for Obama will be close to 100% (if not above) with 97-98% voting for him. He represents such a historic moment for them regardless of what he says or does they will support him. This support alone makes states that are typically battleground states very tough to predict.
If McCain/Palin can take OH., VA., and FL., which I think they will. It will come down to CO., NV., and NM.
But I heard he needed stolen votes 95% to 5% but was up 1000% in Illinois, Massachusetts, Hawaii, and Michigan.

We would not need to get rid of the electoral college, which is now giving an advantage to urban areas, if we went back to only allowing landowners to vote, the way the founding fathers intended.
Want to vote? Show up to your polling place with your property tax bill. That would eliminate all the votes of the people who take and don’t contribute, totally changing the political landscape in America.

You think blacks will vote for him solely because he’s black, regardless of his lack of experience. Right?
I see a twist on that: Blacks will vote for him because they will be coerced with peer pressure and fear of social fallout if they resist, just as many in university environments or teachers’ unions are pressured.
That being said, a few brave souls will close the curtain and do the right thing for America.

While I am absolutely loving the kick in the pants that Gov. Palin has administered so joyfully to the Republican Party, this American will not fully rest easy until McCain’s hand is on the Bible.

By the time the trend is definite Senator Mrs. William Jefferson Blythe Clinton may want no part of the ticket. A defeat will only spatter on her own self. And leaving in the lurch a party that declined the possibility to crown her and went with an empty suit, well, that would just be icing on the cake, wouldn't it?
And if Obama wins, no presidency for her until 2016. Ignoring the possibility of unfortunate accidents, of course.

How’s Obama doing the voters who vote multiple times? What about the voters registered in different states? How’s he doing in those?
