No wonder it’s such a stupid boring game.
It should be called scratch your ass and spit and then do it again before your audience goes to sleep.
I think you will find that association football (soccer) actually was dirived from Rugby football which its correct name still is.
Rounders that brings back memories.
Another interesting fact is that Derby County’s old ground was called the Baseball ground why and what this refers to I am not sure but that would have probably been named that well over 100 years plus years ago as it would not have been renamed when soccer was first played on it.
ROFL!
I completely agree!
Rounders I think has always been more thought of as a girl’s sport though I have been involved in mixed rounders.
You'd think they'd try to get a full count for each batter!
Well, all right. As long as you aren't a "rounder" yourself.

My ‘puter is giving me fits so the link wont work. That means I have to guess at what the dairy entry actually said and from that extrapolate what it probably meant...
My guess is that the diary is talking about crocket.
The stick at the end could be the “base” and of course, you hat the ball with a “stick” mallet.
But, knowing he Brits and their weird way of naming stuff, like calling chips crisps, biscuits scones and cookies biscuits, the diary may well have been talking about swimming.
Everyone knows the Russians invented it.
Is that you, Ensign Chekov?
:-) no.
(and I was afraid no one would pick up my obscure reference to the old Soviet canard that the Russians invented everything.)
HAHAHAAAAA! Nice catch, Blue Lancer (you will forgive the pun)!
Regards,
No working link?
