Perhaps finding out what really is going on in Pennsylvania is for me to look no further than my own backyard, literally.

what plays in Obama's favor is the high voting population in Philly, which can offset the entire state. Amazing statement!

"Yesterday as I was leaving the newsroom a gentleman literally jumped out of the bar located on the first floor of our building and asked me if I was registered to vote. I assured him that I was and asked why he wanted to know. "I am registering people to vote" he said. I asked him if was working for a campaign, he said, "well, I am not supposed to tell anyone, but I am working for Obama.""
McPal is going to have a hard time winning PA.

Salena:
I live in Williamsport and work in Carbondale, a Democrat stronghold. Many of my collegues are die-hard Dems and they have had reservations about Obama from Day One.
Now they see him spinning out of control and self-destructing. The female members, most of whom supported Clinton, are really turned-off to Obama’s apparent chauvenism.
The liberal treatment of Sarah Palin is reinforcing the chauvenist theory held by many Clinton supporters who believe their candidate was driven out of the primary by male party bosses and then passed over by the chosen one.
I truly see Pennsylvania as being much more “in-play” than in either 2000 or 2004.

Okay, this makes me think that the McCain campaign shouldn’t waste a lot of time and resources on PA. PA will go Rat one way or another.

I live in Lehigh Valley. This article leaves out, of course, the traditional voter fraud which happens every election, whether local or national.
Between dead people names, cartoon character names, motor-voter multiple precinct voting, et al, courtesy of 'Fast' Eddy Rendell and his union thug minions, PA will never be won by a Republican, period!
To: rocksblues
Amazing Fraud.
The union bosses will be enforcing the chosen one’s will, but will the submit?

However, Rendell has made it pretty clear that he’s not an Obama fan. He’s repeatedly said that Obama ‘Can’t win’ PA.
Obama has his own people on the ground, but it remains to be seen if Fast Eddie’s machine is actually going to be on Obama’s side.
To: SlightOfTongue
There is a limit to how much vote fraud Rendell can accomplish. If we exceed that limit, Obama loses

Rendell is a Hillary supporter, maybe he will tell the clowns, dead people and Disney characters to stay home and plan for 2012.

You know what? I think even “Fast Eddie” realizes this has become a race between an experienced, common-sense Senator whose economic policy won’t hurt matters, and probably will help them a bit, and an inexperienced, gaffe-prone media creation already self-destructing.
Back a winner or a loser ... hmm ...
Eddie’s not THAT dumb.

Oh come on people, Phili voters are true Americans and has voter turnout more than many places. They care so much that some precincts show over 100% of the registered voters voted. That's impressive.

After I left the military at the end of 2000, many people asked why I chose to live in Louisiana, rather than return home to PA. I tell them that I wanted to live in a state where political corruption was not so rampant.
Havin said that, I'm back in the northeast as I type this or business, having driven back just prior to Gustav. Anecdotally, I can say that during my travels, I was struck by the both the number of Obama bumper stickers I saw throughout the south and the number of McCain bumperstickers I've seen in PA, NY and NJ.

I’ll only add an observation - I’ve seen one house in town that has been sporting an Obama yard sign since before the primary..I drove past there yesterday and it has been replaced with a McCain sign.
Philly will of course go for Obama, don’t forget the ‘walking around money’ to get out the vote (That’s Philly-speak for bribebut nobody’s paying any attention).
I would not count McCain out of the running here in the ‘burbs.

One difference this time, Fast Eddie doesn’t like Obama, not even a little bit.

I never thought about that but O face will have problems nationwide without Hill's supporters doing any lifting in the get out the dead/non existent/multiple vote like they usually do. We may see historic low Dem turnout in those places where they do it the most.
