I was disappointed with McCain’s answer, though. I think the questioner meant in the US and not necessarily just Iraq. jmo The questioner had some kind of agenda. He was convinced that Islam was going to win (I think) so no answer was going to satisfy him.

I’m sorry I tuned into this. The pandering is puke-inducing. And Palin isn’t much better. A lot of it does sound like that. But I think they've determined that they have the base firmly in camp so now they're appealing to the know nothings in the middle. It sounds stupid and pandering because that's what they need to do at this point...I guess.
