The only people allowed to vote in Detroit city elections are residents of Detroit. The funny thing is that non-residents of Detroit, who work in Detroit, are still required to pay Detroit income taxes. So, they are taxed without representation.

Sadly, envy and class warfare rule in my area. The kooks I see daily make up the majority and they truly desire a “from each according to his ability, to each according to his needs” type of system.
the first thing that needs to happen to turn this state around is to end lifetime welfare benefits...we are one of only 2 states to support deadbeats for life..and most of the deadbeats live in detroit, with flint running close second...second thing is to make michigan a right to work state...but that will never happen...who is the largest employer in the state of michigan? it is the state of michigan....
