According to Jack Cashill (see this link), there is mounting evidence to indicate that Barack Obama was not the author of his now famous memoir, Dreams From My Father. His research into Obama's literary background shows that, prior to 1990, Obama had written nothing of note. Then like a bolt from the blue, Obama produces a work described by Time Magazine as "the best-written memoir ever produced by an American politician."
Cashill observes, "I had questioned whether the influential Muslim crackpot who paved Obama’s way into Harvard, Khalid al Mansour, might have greased his way into the world of publishing as well." However, upon comparing the text of Obama's book to that of William Ayers' 2001 memoir Fugitive Days, Cashill now believes that the Obama book is substantially a product of the unrepentant former terrorist. He cites two passages from each book as evidence:
“I picture the street coming alive, awakening from the fury of winter, stirred from the chilly spring night by cold glimmers of sunlight angling through the city.” Bill Ayers, Fugitive Days.
“Night now fell in midafternoon, especially when the snowstorms rolled in, boundless prairie storms that set the sky close to the ground, the city lights reflected against the clouds.” Barack Obama, Dreams From My Father.
We already know Obama has not been forthcoming about his relationship with Ayers. If Ayers is, indeed, the real author of the Obama memoir, it could well reveal Obama's true puppet master. Were it a shadowy billionaire like George Soros, that would be bad enough, but a fanatical Marxist ideologue and unindicted terrorist!
A forensic textual analysis of Ayers' and Obama's books could answer this question. It could also be the sword that finally slays the presidential asperations of the junior senator from Illinois.

Exactly! It is the same type writing in this instance. Obama I believe is incapable of writing a book as he has trouble speaking without a written script. Maybe that is why he submits very few if any bills he writes because he cannot write. Is his education affirmative action at work?
Thanks for your input. This must come out. Obama cannot be anywhere near the seat of power. He and his radical democrat cohorts will criminalize political opposition, Stalinists that they are. This website, along with talk radio, will be targeted for shut-down. You can make book on it.
Good point. If that's true and the person can be identified, it might be possible to include other writing samples in the evaluation.

The potential damage to Obama is on two levels. First, he didn't acknowledge a ghost writer. So, if you believe the memoirs are in fact written by someone else, it makes Obama appear false and dishonest. Second, evidence that the memoirs were ghost written by Ayers, of all people, further strengthens the link between Obama and the terrorist, a link he has sought to minimize. Caught lying again! A Manchurian candidate trying to infiltrate the Oval Office!
If true, of course. Which hasn't been established. But would be interesting.
I am still wondering how he even graduated from HS, if he, in his own words, “attended class sparingly.”
His staff would mostly be writing the bills though, I think few Senators are capable of this work on their own.
I am hoping that there might be a Freeper with the resources to do such an analysis. I do not.
As a writer and editor, I do believe those two writing samples are similar enough in tone, style and pace to possibly belong to the same writer.
In some instances, ghostwriters are never acknowledged. They simply perform invisible work for hire. I wonder if there was a ghostwriter used, and if it was during his public service in Illinois, whether there would have been any accounting trail in paying the ghostwriter himself, or perhaps through his agency.

People have a literary style in the same way that they have distinctive handwriting or fingerprints.
I would think that forensic experts would be able to identify the author.

Pattern. Let's see. Both sentences have commas, but one has three and the other two. Both mention winter, but different parts of the winter, and anyway the winter is one of the central features of Chicago. Both say something about the light but they say different things about it, and again the winter light is an obvious feature of Chicago.
OK. I challenge you to spell out what these two sentences have in common that wouldn't also be in the sentences of many other authors attempting to describe the atmosphere of Chicago.

Coming from a former editor of the Harvard Law Review, this error is astounding for what is says about both Obama and Harvard.
