Well since the email address was started by someone who lived in Alska I’d think they would have something to say abpout it? Not an attorney but I think internet crimes go by the location of the person who was hurt by the crime.
We don’t know for sure that the culprit is a kid. What if the kid found some of this information on his father’s computer? We don’t know.
The media is trying to put the perp in a better light just in case (and maybe they already know) it is an Obama operative. If in fact the family’s emails were compromised (including children’s) then the idea that the purpose was to find out info that she had used her private email to subvert the gov emails goes out the window.
Companies tell people NOT to use company email for personal use...as governor, she had an account for personal email pure and simple; the bottom line is that they found NOTHING (or else it would be out there)

Everybody knows that companies or government IT department records all networked activity. First, this activity would be recorded and backed up to tape. This is such a non story and violation of everything the DEMS have complained about during the Bush years.

The nearest U.S. District Court. I think this would be true even if there weren't potential federal crimes committed. I don't remember whose sentencing guidelines would be used. Perhaps some FReeper lawyers could help.
