The man wanted for vandalizing a HUMMER in Southlake surrendered to police Friday. Several tips and surveillance video from the vehicle pointed to the 72-year-old suspect.

In Singapore you have to wait years to get a license to own a car, and then pay a fee of roughly $10,000 US ... and THEN pay for the car and its upkeep. Yikers.

I am thinking seriously about buying a new Hummer H2, I was going to buy a new Camaro but then I can only drive it during the summer up here in Alaska, I currently drive a 1 ton Silverado dually with a 496 cid gas motor.

No way I am driving a wussy car on Alaska roads, you absolutely have to have something that can handle -50F winters, broken sections of pavement we call frost heaves, many many pot holes and of course the washboard gravel/dirt roads.

It cost more in gas but other wise you buy something cheap and it only last a couple of years otherwise. You spend more in upkeep while still making paymenets.

A very true adage, Its Tougher in Alaska.
