LOS ANGELES - Tina Fey just scored a Best Actress Emmy for playing frazzled head writer Liz Lemon on “30 Rock,” but it was the thought of playing Sarah Palin on “Saturday Night Live” a week ago that left the comedian herself frazzled.
On the Emmy red carpet, Fey revealed to Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush she actually refused to play her political look-a-like when it was first proposed.
“I was fighting them all week on it,” Fey said. “I kept saying, ‘I don’t want to do it, I’m not an impressionist.’ I kept telling (‘SNL’ producer) Lorne (Michaels), ‘No! I’ll show up ... I’ll do anything except play her. I can’t do it.’ Then, I was worn down. Lorne wore me down by the end of the week.”
Fey, whose “30 Rock” also picked up the Emmy for Best Comedy Series, Best Writing for a Comedy Series, and Best Actor (for co-star Alec Baldwin), said she was fortunate the figurehead she had to impersonate had an unusual accent.
“Sarah Palin has a crazy voice. I would say, not since ‘Sling Blade’ has there been a person who’s really easy to imitate, so I got really lucky on that one,” Fey said.
While Gov. Palin herself reportedly enjoyed the impersonation, John McCain advisor Carly Fiorina called Fey’s portrayal “sexist.” So what did Tina think about that response? Apparently, not much.
“I saw one lady trying to form a thought that it was sexist on the news but she didn’t get it together, probably because she was a lady and she was dumb,” Fey said. “Wait is that sexist?”

Nowhere near as easy to look at as the real Sarah.
In fact, she looks like the typical liberal frump, even in an evening gown.
Let her continue her parodies of Sarah.
It will only garner more votes for our side.

She was born to play the role.
Of course she can’t say no. SHe’s a liberal woman what would her “sisters” say if she refused to make fun of Sarah Palin? She would be frog marched out of the Hollywood and could never work again...
Surprising. Tina Fey is a bigger industry than SNL now.
As and aside, I wasn’t sure how to take SNL’s skit about Palin and the NYT. I just saw it. I thought it was funny and that it mocked the NYT, not Palin.

She should consider herself lucky that she has a resemblance to someone as beautiful as Sarah. Unfortunately for Fey while Sarah makes history she will soon be a forgotten, has-been actress. Hollywod by and large is an embarrassment to America and this smart-mouth won’t get my money for anything she does.

I didn’t like it at first but then noticed the source of Fey’s anger and have since let up on her.
It’s the Chest Envy that makes her do it.
Carly Fiorina is many things, not all of them good, but certainly “dumb” isn’t one of them.
Fey is talented and pretty, but are we to be shocked that she’s among the 98% or so showbiz folks who lean hard left?
Was SHE being sarcastic or is she so stupid and celeb-oriented she has no idea who Carly Fiorina is? (Not that she has done us any favors.)

Take Obama and his lipstick crack, or his middle finger cheek scratch. That one always makes me laugh. He used it against Hillary, and recently while discussing McCain. The audience recognized the gesture, but he can wink and claim it was just an itch.
The SNL skit does the same, feigning to mock the media, while building up the underlying Palin slander. It's so petty.
