How disappointed was Chris Matthews with Barack Obama's debate performance tonight? How angry was Matthews at Obama for agreeing so much with John McCain? Enough that Matthews unleashed the ultimate Dem insult, saying Obama reminded him of Richard Nixon.
Matthews first vented his frustration at Obama adviser Linda Douglass.
CHRIS MATTHEWS: Linda, my friend, why did your candidate agree so much, openly and relentlessly, with his opponent tonight?
Douglas's answer was to the effect that this is how a bi-partisan Obama would operate as president. After criticizing Obama for mishandling the economic issues in the debate, Matthews turned to Andrea Mitchell, and levelled that supreme Dem slap.

Sadly, I used to enjoy Matthew’s show in 2004, this time around...can’t stand it, hell, I can remember Chris Matthews filling in for Rush Limbaugh on the Radio...

As I see that photo of Chris with Andrea, the only question that Chris needed to ask tonight was (read this in a Matthew’s voice):
“Andrea....why the heck did your husband inflate the money supply beyond God’s green earth for all those years? That’s what caused this mess. What was he THINKING!”
Matthews is always angry.
By the way, I don’t think Nixon was known for being bi-partisan and humble (if that’s what Matthews criticizes Obmama for).

Hey if Chrissie Mathews is upset at Obama’s performance, that could be good news. Will be interesting to see the polls in the days ahead to see if there’s any movement.
Those “I agree with John McCain” statements should be made into a McCain campaign ad, pronto!
Obama agrees, because that is exactly what he did during the Democrat debates. He has no idea what he is talking about. He agreed with everything Hillary said and than made minor points of difference. Empty suit.
Matthews called McCain ‘unstable’ and ‘deranged’ this week. This was just after visting with his buddy Ingraham on her show. I see the pic has Laura’s buddy Andrea Mitchell. They’re all of the same cloth!!!
I thought this bastard was fired from covering the election during prime time on MSNBC...what is he doing on?
Obama sounded like Gingrich with all that drilling going on. The greens can’t like that.
