I listened to Sarah Palin yesterday on Hannity. She IS ready. She is going to kick a$$ and have fun.

I think the moderator issue is mute or actually an advantage to Palin. History shows that true conservatives who are confident, and can clearly communicate their message (because they believe it, not because its a prepared speech) always leave these liberals looking dazed and confused. And it will show through to the American public.

34%? OK, McCain can still win, but it’s all up to Palin.

I would rather her make minor errors than to sound canned. It's politics and people don't care if you are perfect, the prefer someone to be human not come off as phony.

Tonight is crucial.

BTW, I’ve seen this moderator before, and she was professional. This year, however, is special.

Rassmussen is an Obama man.

This debate will be big!

I dont buy it wont mean anything. Has mr. Rass spoken to anybody...has he sat in any office or any kitchen table or listened to conversations of people who are all going to watch this debate tonight and it is not because we dont have anything else to do!

WE WANT TO SEE THE PITBULL AND WHEN SHE COMES OUT

you will see a change in the polls.....big time!

Yes! That’s really what was so bad in Couric is it looked like she was just repeating talking points and became garbled from all the talking points the handlers had stuffed in her head. Better to just give briefing books with facts and figures and then have her express herself in her own words. She sounded like herself on Hugh Hewitt the other day - even mentioned the taxpayers were getting “screwed” - I’m sure that wasn’t a McCain-handler approved term. So be it. Authenticity works best.

“true conservatives who are confident, and can clearly communicate their message (because they believe it, not because its a prepared speech) always leave these liberals looking dazed and confused.”

Case in point—Ronald Reagan and Sam Donaldson! :) I love remembering those happy days!

Relax, Sarah. Talk about what you know.

Say that after 35 years in Washington, that you, too, would be a know-it-all windbag like your opponent.

I know I could not do an effective job as Gov of Alaska, but I know more, or at least I am more able to display my knowlwedge in an effective more effective manner than Gov. Palin. In a debate where facts can be checked knowledge is very important. Not knowing is worse than lying and remember AlBore's downfall came when he claimed to have been in Texas helping with the flooding.

These stupid debates turn on the silliest of reasons. A misstatement by Ford placing Poland as a free nation. Of course he knew better, but he vapor locked. Nixon's beard problems and sweating under the lights, and to be fair Reagan's possession of Carter's talking points for the first debate. Theleadership of America needs a better system. McCain's Town Halls promised that. Two candidate responding to the people, not thrice, but ten times. Where one gaffe is far less meaningful.

Still what I take from this article is that this 34% wants very much to vote for Palin. I think this night is where the election may be decided.

She will be awesome. She has been well prepped. Crammed like a maniac and will crush Biden. Even winning by a little will be played as a HUGE defeat for team Hussein.

I am telling you, the race will turn after this debate. The Dems want to stick the dagger in the campaign on this one and this will AGAIN be the saving grace of McCain’s campaign.

It has never happened before in Presidential election history but mark my words it will happen.

The thing that worries me about tonight is that as the VP, they need to somewhat follow the policies of the head of the ticket, which as we all know about McCain, is not necessarily Sarah’s true beliefs on all issues. She needs to balance her beliefs and charisma more or less w/ McCain’s policies. If she does a good job of that, she will be fine. But, trying to regurgitate all of McCains bland talking points, she’ll be in trouble like she was with the Professor and Perky.

Quite frankly who cares? So 34% are interested in the debate tonight. 66% don't care about the debate. And I would believe that 66% is about the percentage of voters who will vote for ASSama the way McCain is campaigning. I am beginning to believe one of two scenarios is happening with his campaign. First that McCain only wanted to win the primaries to prove he could. The other alternative is he does not really want to be in charge with the oncoming financial disasters of the next two to five years.

And I am also beginning to believe that he picked Palin thinking she would be a lightweight in the campaign (female and out of the beltway) and so he could be completely in charge of the campaign and its effects. He has been as shocked as we have been at her popularity and doesn't know how to handle it.

I constantly wonder why he will not stand up and call ASSama and the Democrats out on anything except the Surge in Iraq. It will be very interesting to see his reaction if Sarah completely blows Biden off the stage, even with the setup against her that the Democrats have engineered in the moderator.

I would love to see her say that she does not support the bailout but that she understands why McCain does.
