Check out the link guys this is unbelievable how biased the press is getting. I'm from Minnesota and everyone I have talked to do not like Al Franken and all the talk has been Sarah Palin. That is why I'm not trusting the polls at this point. The true poll is going to the polls and vote. MN FReepers get the vote out!

This is not good news. If we get Obama in the White House and the likes of Franken in the Senate, it won’t be long before laws are passed criminalizing conservative speech. Not long after that they’ll start setting up the gulags.

Al Franken. Proof positive that democrats really are stupid and Americans don’t really take politics seriously anymore.

Unbelievable. Minnesotans don’t even want a moderate-liberal like Coleman as their senator, they would rather have a socialist novice. Folks, the Republican brand name has been soiled by the neocons. We need to regroup and kick the charlatons out. The Republicans need to be the conservative choice, not merely an echo of the Dems.

Minnesota proved their seriousness when they gave the world Jesse Ventura.

This poll is absolute crap, garbage, Coleman is up in every recent survey, including Survey USA which has him up 10 during the same period. Didn’t this same newspaper publish a poll around this time in 2002 showing Fritz Mondale with a 10 - 15 point lead over Coleman? I think it did.

I agree this poll is rigged.

Coleman’s ads are really hurting whatever positive image Franken may have had. Franken’s been exposed for the low life character he is. Minnesota gives the benefit of the doubt to a liberal, but not unless he is preceived as a nice person. Franken is very definately not a nice person.

I call total BS on this poll. There is now way that Dean Barkley has that much of a pull in that poll. I went riding my bike from the VERY liberal Midtown area of South Minneapolis to the somewhat conservative Hopkins yesterday en route to play hockey and I saw many Franken signs in Saint Louis Park with a few Coleman signs peppered in, with only one, count them one, Dean Barkley sign.

A car or bike ride from my end of town to the inner ring suburbs is a good barometer of how the canidates are doing. And so far, Coleman is holding up with Franken in the most liberal areas of the Twin Cities.

This poll also forgot the Saint Paul factor. Saint Paul, Minnesota’s second largest city, still remembers the GREAT job Norm Coleman did as mayor of that town, taking Saint Paul from just being Minneapolis’ largest suburb to a major national city of its own outright. Because of what he’s done for Saint Paul, he will maybe pull 25-35% of the electorate in Saint Paul (Which is phenomenal for any Republican). No way Frankenstein is up that much in that poll.

Coleman’s ahead and he will probably demolish Franken. Nobody likes that goon in Minnesota other than your typical partisans.

Sarah Palin was falsely accused of having supported the Alaska Independence Party. Now it appears that there is a Minnesota Independence Party.

Independence for Minnesota might not be such a bad idea...their electoral votes almost always go to the Democrat, and if they left the Union the Big Ten conference could get back to having ten teams.

I am happy to hear you say that. We Americans deserve everything coming to us if we keep on voting for worthless politicians like Barney Franks, Dick Durbin, John Kerry, BHO, Ted Kennedy, Arlen Specter, Lindsey Graham, Chris Dodd, Harry Reid, Nancy Polosie, Diane Feinstein, Rahm Emanuel, etc..over and over again.

Every election, The RED Star always do their propaganda poll when they think the time is right.

McCain is losing by 18% in the same poll.
